An idyllic campsite awaits you in our large garden. You’ll be woken up in the morning by our rooster and can start your day early.
The property is in a secluded location on the outskirts of town, and you’ll have a beautiful view of the Weser Valley.
A composting toilet gives you that authentic Swedish feel, and cold water is available from the garden hose. You’re also welcome to use our construction trailer, which is equipped with a table and two sofas; if needed, there’s even room for your air mattress.
The Weser Cycle Route and the A2 highway are within easy reach, and from here you can hike directly into the Weser Mountains. Bückeburg Castle, a visitor mine, the waterway junction in Minden, and the beautiful old town of Rinteln all invite you to explore.

We had a very pleasant evening and a very good night's sleep at Suzanne and Ulli's—two charming and friendly hosts. They welcomed us very warmly into their home. We would recommend this place without hesitation.
It was an absolutely fantastic trip for me! The site is great, and the family is very friendly and accommodating. We were able to build a fire, and there was water and electricity. A truly idyllic garden, and the location is perfect for a long hike! I highly recommend it—I’d definitely camp here again. Thanks for the great time!
It was incredibly lovely at Susanne and Ulli’s :) A wonderfully picturesque, huge garden with a cozy little corner for guests; with chickens, bees, and a cat, as well as a breathtaking starry sky. On top of that, there wasn’t just a super-clean dry toilet, but also a shower, sink, electricity, a sofa in the cozy construction trailer, and—upon request—a table, chair, and umbrella. I felt so warmly welcomed, and everything was so nice and hassle-free—simply wonderful! It was my first time using Hinterland, but I don’t think it’ll be easy to top this experience 😉 I’d love to come back!
Our first overnight stay in the countryside—and a complete success right off the bat! We owe it all to Susanne and Uli, who welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home from the very beginning. Their hospitality was truly exceptional. We especially loved the delicious breakfast with honey from their own beehives in the garden—you don’t get something that special every day! The garden itself is a little paradise: beautifully landscaped to blend with nature, and in the evening we even got to watch fireflies—a magical moment. Add to that the wonderful tranquility of the place, which really invites you to unwind. We wanted for nothing—it really doesn’t get any better than this! Thank you so much for everything, Susanne & Uli! If we’re ever back in the region, we’d love to stay with you again. ☺️
