Hi there!
Our country house is located on an old farmstead in the village of Fresenburg in the beautiful Emsland region, with a large meadow right behind it. We live just outside the village in a small farming community with just a few houses.
You can find a nice spot on our meadow—it’s fenced in and has old oak trees. There’s plenty of space since we only offer 3 campsites. During the day, the neighbor’s cows peek over the fence.
Just 50 meters away is the historic Fresenburg Chapel, inviting you to take a moment to unwind.
In just a minute, you’ll find yourself in the middle of nowhere on dirt roads, in the forest, or of course by the Ems River. Hiking, walking, and biking are all excellent options.
The Emsland is the ultimate cycling destination, with many great routes, sights, and rest stops!
The Ems is ever-present; after just a few hundred meters, you’ll find yourself at the beautiful old Ems arm, which invites you to linger, have a picnic, or even go fishing.
The nearest town with a supermarket and other amenities is about 3 kilometers away.
Nearby: Schloss Dankern Leisure Center (16 km), Meyer Shipyard (25 km), Clemenswerth Castle (15 km), North Sea (100 km), various indoor pools, heated outdoor pool (3 km), swimming spot on the Ems (1.5 km), and much more.

A very nice place—if you're looking for some peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and biking. We'd love to come back.
Friendly and laid-back. Plenty of space on a large lawn, so you can keep your distance from others if you want to. Water and electricity are available if needed, and there’s a public restroom right in front of the property. If you have any questions, just ask and you’ll get a quick answer. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much :)
Nature and peace at last! In addition to the beautiful location, there is cold beer or lemonade on site, an outdoor pool and a relatively nearby toilet. Walks in the countryside and fishing spots are just a few minutes' walk away. Virtually everything you need for a great vacation with your dog. The host can be reached directly on site or simply by WhatsApp. Basically everything was perfect 🙂
