We are the Meyer family from the village of Fresenburg in the Emsland region with a population of around 950. After many years in the big city, we once returned to our home in the countryside, where we now live on a large plot of land with a meadow. We love country life and look forward to introducing you to our village!

A very beautiful meadow in a peaceful setting. (Dankern Castle is nearby.) If you don't need an on-site shower or fancy amenities, this is a wonderful spot to stay. We felt very comfortable there.
A very nice place—if you're looking for some peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and biking. We'd love to come back.
Friendly and laid-back. Plenty of space on a large lawn, so you can keep your distance from others if you want to. Water and electricity are available if needed, and there’s a public restroom right in front of the property. If you have any questions, just ask and you’ll get a quick answer. They go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much :)
Nature and peace at last! In addition to the beautiful location, there is cold beer or lemonade on site, an outdoor pool and a relatively nearby toilet. Walks in the countryside and fishing spots are just a few minutes' walk away. Virtually everything you need for a great vacation with your dog. The host can be reached directly on site or simply by WhatsApp. Basically everything was perfect 🙂

We had a super nice week with Helen and Christoph. We wanted peace and quiet and we got it. They are very nice hosts and we felt very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Everything was perfect, exactly as described and discussed in advance. We found Christoph to be a very friendly host, caring and at the same time leaving privacy, which was very pleasant. The meadow offers ample space for three vehicles, we had more than enough wood for a nice evening around the campfire (and another one in the morning) and had a very quiet night. We would love to come back, thank you! :)
Christoph was very friendly and offered his help straight away. I was shown everything that was important and the property was perfect for my two dogs. They were able to run around and explore the surroundings. Many thanks for everything.

Nice quiet parking space. The Ems cycle path is not far away. Christoph is very nice and has lots of information for your stay.
Super nice reception at short notice. Great for hiking and cycling. Perfect with a dog. The Ems can be reached very quickly on foot. The public toilet is super clean and can be reached in 1 minute. Water and electricity available if required. We will be back again. Thanks to Helen and Christoph
Here for the second time because the site and hosts are great. Even in bad weather, the meadow remains easily accessible and the barrier-free public toilet in the immediate vicinity are additional plus points.

This place with Helen and Christoph under wonderful old oak trees offers everything you need to feel right at home and relax! Christoph is an excellent and extremely thoughtful host! We were provided with plenty of information and excursion options in advance. We loved every single tip (especially the nearby thermal baths in Bad Nieuweschans and the "asparagus from the farm next door"). The public toilet nearby was clean and tidy! The meadow itself was very easy to drive on and dried off quickly, even in heavy rain. If you are looking for absolute peace, relaxation and a nice starting point for cycling along the Ems and hiking, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back :-)

I stayed with Helen and Christoph with my two fur noses and another camper and felt very safe and comfortable. Thank you very much, you are great hosts. Fresh water was freely accessible at all times, electricity could be used. Extensive walks with dogs possible directly from the campsite. A small public toilet could be used by us campers. My parents visited us for a barbecue on Easter Sunday, which was no problem at all. I/we would love to come back. I wish you continued success 🍀.

It was just great. With the bike you are in 5 minutes at the Ems or in the forest . The support from the nice host in terms of shopping and restaurants was very helpful . The public toilet around the corner with the large mirror is almost luxurious. I will definitely come again

The 5 days with Christoph and Helen were even more beautiful than we had hoped. Everything was very uncomplicated, already the welcome was very welcoming. We could choose a place ourselves, we were lucky to be all alone. But even if there had been others, everyone has enough space. The surrounding area invites to wonderful bike tours, along the Ems or even to Holland. In the evenings we sat around the campfire with stick bread and wine, the nights were heavenly quiet until we were awakened in the morning by birdsong. Also the conversations with Christoph were very interesting. We can only recommend the place and will definitely come again. Kind regards Sylvia and Günter
We were able to spend 2 great and especially relaxing days with Christoph and his family. The welcome was warm and open and we could choose a free place on the property. If you are looking for peace and quiet, fall asleep in the evening with birdsong and wake up in the morning with it, this is the place for you. The surrounding area invites you to go cycling/hiking. The bike paths as well as bike routes are a dream. We will visit this beautiful spot again 100%. A big thank you to Christoph and his family that we were allowed to be guests with them 😀.
