UteDescription of the surroundings: Situated in a quiet location directly at our stables with a beautiful view over our pastureland and the village. Here you can hike, bike and experience the nature of the Volcanic Eifel and how an organic farm is worked. In the immediate vicinity you can buy regional specialties in our farm store, or stop in our cafe corner.
Welcome to the Ulmenhof
The Ulmenhof is a real farm. That means the care of the animals, the work on fields and meadows etc. is our priority. For you guests this means that you can experience how ecological farming works. You are welcome to look over our shoulder during the stable time between 17 and 19 o'clock and to help us. If we have special activities planned, such as taking the young cattle to pasture, planting potatoes, hooking beets, etc... we will be happy to let you know. Then we can arrange and do the work together.
We would like to ask you not to use the stables as a playground and especially not to go into the pens, run yards etc. to the animals. The safest place for people and animals is to look from the feeding tables. A farm is a great place to be, but it also has dangers. Animals are not always predictable, large machines sometimes confusing. If everyone is prudent, nothing stands in the way of a nice stay.
Since the animals need their feed every day and must be milked, we also work every day. This is not possible without machines that of course also make noise. Also the cows, goats, calves and lambs moo, mow and bleat whenever they like. Maybe you can also hear our Fritz humming at his work when it is very quiet. Fritz takes care day and night that our cowshed stays clean.
We work here in a beautiful landscape. The Gesundland Vulkaneifel offers numerous possibilities for excursions, hikes and more! We have put together a few tips for you in this folder.
In our BioHofLaden Ulmenhof you can get everything you need to live during the opening hours from Mi- Sat. Other stores you will find in 5km distance in Daun.
Electricity is directly at the campsite, water you can fill up at the goat pen. You can dispose of your garbage in our container for a small fee (5 Euro per bag). We would like to ask you to vacate the pitch by 12 noon on the day of departure, so that the new guests can arrive.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Or within 48 hours of booking, up to one day before arrival.
