Idyllic meadow between Erfurt and Weimar

Hello dear Hinterland friends,

We are pleased to welcome you to Thuringia and would like to offer you our meadow. It is idyllically situated between the Thuringian capital Erfurt and the cultural city of Weimar. It is only a few minutes' drive from the highway exit to our meadow.

The meadow is quietly situated on a farm track with good access for motorhomes. You can visit us from January to December.

When we travel we like a lot of space and room around us and not narrow pitches and that's why we want to offer you this. On over 3000 square meters nobody gets too close (if you don't want to)!

Water and electricity are unfortunately not available BUT pure nature, fields, a reservoir nearby, a small forest and wild animals can also be observed. You will be woken up by birdsong!

The meadow has tall trees at the edge so that there is always a shady spot available.

For an extra charge we can bring you bakery rolls in the morning, homemade jam, eggs from our chickens or honey from the local beekeeper.

Our family also includes various animals. You can go on guided walks with them or get to know our sheep and find out how they live and what they love. You are welcome to ask in advance if it is possible at your travel time. This must be arranged in advance and can be booked on site for an additional charge.

Since we have animals ourselves, we know how great it is to be together with them and to travel with them. Animals are therefore very welcome. However, they should be well-behaved and kept in such a way that they do not disturb the other vacationers.

If you would like to surprise your partner, child, etc. (e.g. welcome dinner, birthday, a bouquet of flowers, etc.) you can also discuss this with us in advance. We will be happy to help organize your surprise!

Now to our great location in the Thuringian Basin!

From your pitch you can go hiking, jogging, inline skating, cycling/scootering, cycling and long walks. The village's beautifully designed playground is about 400 m away.

10 km away there is a reservoir for swimming, a thermal bath and a climbing forest.

There is a large supermarket 3.5 km away and the nearest petrol station is 2 km away.

Erfurt is our state capital. The KIKA channel is at home here. The city has many old, historical, very worth seeing buildings, e.g. the medieval Krämerbrücke, the cathedral, the citadel Petersberg, furthermore there are many beautiful churches, the EGA with its flower splendor, the Christmas market is one of the most beautiful in Germany.

The city of Weimar is 12 km away. The Weimar Classicists lived and worked here: Schiller and Goethe, Herder, Wieland. Belvedere Palace is highly recommended.

You can marvel at historical books in the Anna Amalia Library. The University of Music and the Bauhaus University have their home here.

The onion market has been held on the 2nd weekend in October since 1653 - the whole town comes alive for 3 days - 24 hours a day.

Visit the vibrant cities and listen to the birdsong in the evening!
