Amazing place and a very nice host!
It was a wonderful time; it’s a great place to relax. The hot tub is a lovely way to unwind in nature. Nikolas and his family are very kind hosts; he’s always willing to listen to his guests and does his best to accommodate everyone’s needs.

An incredibly beautiful evening view awaits you. You can enjoy a hot tub on the lake or on the shore, which you can use well into the night. Gazing at the stars while soaking in water heated to 40 degrees is an experience that money can’t really buy. Nick and his friends are also very open and totally helpful. For example, our van wouldn’t start when we were leaving. Thanks to numerous helpers, even that wasn’t a problem. Tip for campers who need electricity: bring an adapter and a cable reel. Apparently, a few guests hadn’t thought of that beforehand. Dinner on the dock by the lake is also particularly charming

5 stars, but more like a 9/10. The site is very beautiful and quiet. If you’re looking for a digital detox, this is the perfect place. Our stay was still pleasant, and the host, Nik, is very friendly and attentive. We were warmly welcomed and bid farewell. We’re deducting one point because, in our opinion, €98 for two nights is a bit too much. Unfortunately, we didn’t have an adapter for our CCE 3-pin plug to a Schuko plug, so we saved on electricity for the two nights and ran on battery power, which was possible but a bit of a hassle. At other campsites with similar prices, you can refill fresh water and sometimes even drain gray water, but not here. This detracts a little from the overall impression, even though the site itself is very beautiful with its fishing ponds and hiking/walking trails. We still had a lovely and peaceful time and would like to express our sincere thanks. The campsite has a lot of potential, and we wish the host and his family all the best for its future development.
This was our second time staying with Nikolas, and it’s just a wonderful place to stay. Nikolas is a very friendly host who’s always easy to reach and has great tips for the area. Highly recommended

This exclusive spot is an absolute dream! You really couldn’t ask for a more beautiful spot. Here, you have the upper lake all to yourself. We also treated ourselves to the large hot tub (located right next to the campsite). It was the perfect way to cap off a wonderful day. Nikolas is a wonderful host who really goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. He also recommended a walk to the Grauhandfelsen and told us the story of the ghost of Grauer Hans. We’ll definitely be back!

We came here in our T4 camper van and quickly realized: We didn’t really want to leave 😄 The campsite is in a fantastic location by a small, idyllic lake—perfect for fishing, relaxing, and as a starting point for beautiful hikes. Pets and kids are just as welcome here as anglers and campers! Nikolas is an amazing host: super friendly, helpful, and always up for a laugh. What’s especially great is that he greets every guest personally and really takes the time for each one, even though there’s always plenty to do all around. But be careful… he also loves to tell the story of “Gray Hans,” who supposedly still lurks through the Hirschalbtal valley 👻 Whether it’s an old miller or a forest spirit, we peeked out of the van again at night just to be safe… you never know 😅 The campsite and the lake have been lovingly maintained. Not everything is quite finished yet, but that’s exactly what gives it its charm—they’re working hard to keep improving it so it becomes even more beautiful for guests. And the best part: We drove an extra 300 km for this weekend and would do it again in a heartbeat! Bottom line: Great spot, awesome hosts, plenty of nature, and a little bit of a spooky story thrown in for free 😉

A great place to relax. Right in the heart of the Palatinate Forest and right on the fishing lake. Beautiful hiking trails and complete peace and quiet (well, apart from the birdsong that woke us up in the morning :)). We were warmly welcomed; Nikolas is super friendly, helpful, and has great tips for the area. Next time, we’ll definitely bring our fishing rod along too :)
We are absolutely thrilled... a unique and exclusive spot like this is truly special. We had an unforgettable evening alone by the lake, in the hot tub—it was rustic, idyllic, and had its own special kind of luxury. Nicolas went out of his way to take care of us, and communication both before and after our stay went smoothly. We’ll definitely be back.

A great place to unwind and find some peace and quiet. Nick is an absolutely wonderful host—super friendly, personable, and always up for a chat. The hot tub was really cool! However, keep in mind (if you’re not a fisherman) that the lake is packed with anglers, especially on weekends (the first ones showed up around 5 a.m.) All in all, though, a great place to relax 👍👍 Warm regards, also from Leo 😉
We spent last weekend at Niklas' place by the beautiful lakes. We really enjoyed ourselves, even though it was unfortunately very cold due to the weather :) The property is in a completely quiet location, tucked away in the middle of the forest. This little getaway did us a world of good :)
Beautiful place for people who wants back to basic with just that little bit more: a hot tub by the lake. We love it.
We had a wonderful stay with Nikolas. Pure nature with beautiful hikes in the forest with quartz sandstone. We were able to choose the parking space ourselves, whichever suited us best. Nikolas' friendly, kind, and honest manner made us feel very welcome. We would return anytime.
We had four wonderful nights in the Palatinate "winter wonderland" and enjoyed a hot bath in the hot tub. Fantastic! Nik was always available to help us and had a solution for every problem, big or small. When we couldn't manage the snowy, very steep road home on our own, he quickly came to our rescue. Thanks again for that. We'll definitely be back. But in winter, we'll only come with snow chains! ;)

We were with Nikolas at the VW Only site last weekend. Despite the bad weather, we had a great time. We had reserved the hot tub. The atmosphere was fantastic and we could watch the starry sky from the tub. Nikolas is really friendly and was always available. We will definitely be back!
Super hosts! The place was really nice - clean and well maintained. The surroundings are simply fantastic, with wonderful walks and a great atmosphere by the water. A real paradise for anglers! We had a sauna right by the water - that was an absolute highlight! Diving straight into the refreshing water after the sauna - an unforgettable experience!
We stayed at Nikolas' pitch for one night on a weekend in October. The communication in advance went smoothly, we didn't meet Nikolas in person on site, but he was available for us by phone. The surrounding area is beautiful for hiking and cycling, especially in the fall. We were in the parking lot, which is also used by the anglers, so we didn't have the privacy we expected. The anglers arrived very early in the morning at half past six. As they walked past our van and their flashlights shone through our curtains, there was no chance of sleeping in. There were offal on the sink in the parking lot, which I found very unpleasant. We also found the price for using the hot tub and sauna too expensive.

A beautiful site right on an idyllic lake, surrounded by a beautiful forest. Even the drive through the forest was an experience and immediately put us in a vacation mood. The site is quiet, close to nature and perfect for relaxing. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to explore the surrounding area this time - but that's exactly why we definitely want to come back. Next time we are looking forward to getting to know the area on foot while hiking. Absolutely recommendable!

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of September and felt very comfortable. Nicolas and his family and team are really super nice and helpful, the site is beautifully situated in the forest and you can enjoy nature and peace and quiet. If you also like fishing, this is the perfect place to relax. We will definitely be back. All thumbs up.

If you need a definition of hinterland, go there. The perfect place in nature with all amenities including a nice host. Be sure to book the hot tub! The view over the lake while you enjoy the warm bath ... We will be back!

We were warmly welcomed by Nikolas and were already in contact before we arrived. The pitch offers plenty of space, which you share with other campers. We enjoyed the peace and quiet as there is no busy road nearby. We also enjoyed the walk in the Palatinate Forest, especially when our dog cooled off in the nearby stream. There was also refreshment for us in the form of chilled drinks which you could "buy" yourself at the till, or of course you could use the two bathing lakes. Thank you, gladly again! :)

This was our second time here and it was fantastic again. The quiet location and the many opportunities to discover nature or just relax here are perfect for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Nik) is super nice and relaxed (as is everyone else here!), communication is always flawless.
If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. It's also great that you can hike straight from the campsite Nikolas is a very nice host. We immediately felt at home. We will definitely be back.
Lovely place with a fishing lake and a swimming lake, sauna and hot tub. Can get quite chilly at night but lovely in the day!
Fantastically beautiful to switch off: Hiking, picking mushrooms, SUPing, sitting in the hot tub while the cranes, ducks and bats flutter overhead. We really enjoyed our stay!

Nikolas was a super friendly, relaxed and interested host! :) The forest is beautiful, there are sandstone rocks and small caves everywhere. We even found so many mushrooms that we had enough for a whole dinner. The place is a little recreational oasis - we really enjoyed fishing and getting into the hot tub in the evening. As it had rained a lot, our pitches were a bit muddy, so it's worth wearing sturdy shoes :-) Many thanks for a wonderful weekend!
A very nice special place with lots of peace and quiet and beautiful nature. Nik was very friendly and attentive. We will be back, but for a little longer. Apart from us, there were a few anglers and VW only. But there was enough space for everyone so that you could enjoy your own peace and quiet and have enough privacy. You don't have to go to Sweden ... simply brilliant, in every respect. Everything worked out more than well, it was uncomplicated and well organized. Thank you for a more than wonderful break! Anyone who loves nature, peace and quiet and things like swimming in the lake .... - definitely an insider tip!
Unfortunately, there was no one on site, which is not a problem in principle, but we had absolutely no idea where to go and couldn't reach anyone by phone either. Then we had to cancel the trip due to a family emergency, and we didn't hear back about this either. A simple: "We understand, but we can't refund anything" would have been enough. Neither by phone nor in writing via app/WhatsApp. Too bad, the location looked really nice and we would have liked to use the place in the future, but unfortunately not like this.
On the whole, a very nice pitch. Nobody can do anything about the weather, but it is rather unsuitable for a car with a roof tent in heavy rain. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable! Nikolas did everything in his power to make sure we were satisfied - and we were! Many thanks for that!

Top hosts and an absolutely recommendable spot on the water and surrounded by pure nature! I booked a night with the roof tent and was welcomed by Nik as soon as I arrived and provided with all the necessary information and initial tips for hikes etc. Electricity was a problem with my cable reel. Electricity was no problem with my cable reel. The lake is also used by anglers, which I thought added a nice charm to the whole thing. The sunrise on the foggy lake is a must for all early risers! I'm looking forward to seeing how the spot develops, Nik still has a few extensions planned. Thanks for your time here and see you next time!
A great place to enjoy nature! It's worth it just to sit by Nik's little lakes in the evening, watching the sunset and listening to the water, the forest and the birds. But there are also great hiking and walking opportunities in the surrounding area, e.g. the Karlstal Gorge. Nik is a very attentive and warm host. An absolute recommendation. We will definitely be back! :)

A dream place and a helpful host! If you want to experience the beautiful Palatinate Forest and Palatinate hospitality, then you just have to book a stay with Nik. The service was perfect from booking to departure. The grounds are a dream of tranquillity and pure nature. We recommend booking the wood-fired sauna and/or wood-fired hot tub. A beautiful spot on earth! We camped right between the rocks and the lake and loved it. We had a wonderful evening + morning in wonderfully quiet surroundings right on the water. The only thing you have to be aware of when camping here: -you have to walk from the parking lot to the camp site with luggage, and you also have to plan a few minutes for the toilet house - no open campfires are allowed - the smaller lake right next to the campsite is quite overgrown, the clear main lake is more suitable for swimming

Uncomplicated stay.
Nick is a very friendly host and from the first conversation you feel like you have known him for years. The campsite is in a very natural and wooded setting and is suitable for people interested in forest camping and tents, but with fewer amenities than fully equipped campsites with showers, sanitary facilities and electricity. The lake is very beautiful, crystal clear water We were there on a rainy day and enjoyed it very much. Fishing and eating fish. We will be back.
