We have been living on our farm in the middle of Frankendorf with a wide variety of animals (poultry, dogs, cats, peacocks, goats, large donkeys and Galloways) for several years. I do the main work, my wife is still working and provides the financial basis to be able to pursue our hobby here. We are by no means completely self-sufficient, but we try to eat as well as possible. Especially in summer, we always manage to make a main course exclusively from our own produce. The focus is on our animals, their care and the use of their meat, as well as the preparation of bread and rolls. I have gradually developed an appropriate recipe for everyday use.

We arrived spontaneously for a long weekend and felt very comfortable with Dietmar. Thanks to firewood, we were able to make ourselves comfortable in the Abhänger even at the end of October. Dietmar's bread and rolls were another highlight. You can easily get around the region by bike.
Really very good hosts and a spacious property. There is one point to consider if you are traveling by bike. There are hardly any developed cycle paths in the area (yet).
We had a wonderful time on the idyllic farm and were made very welcome by the farm and the hostess. This place is great for children, our little son had a lot of fun with the chickens running around. And we all enjoyed the fresh bread rolls, we would love to come back to this great place!
This is our second time there and we just love it.
It was great. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
We like this beautiful quiet place. The hosts are very friendly and everything is very clean. There are fresh eggs and bread rolls. We will definitely come back... and many thanks to the hosts 😀

We felt completely at home. Dietmar and his wife are wonderful hosts. Everything was exactly as we wanted it to be. The children were also allowed to help with the animals, which are looked after very lovingly. It was quiet and clean. We will definitely be back! Thank you very much!
The trailer is a great construction trailer/tinyhouse. Dietmar and his wife took great care of everything! We felt very comfortable while the chickens ran through the garden. Child and animal friendly. Quite wonderful. We would come back anytime, thank you very much!
We stayed at Dietmar's farm for three nights. The farm is very beautiful and well-kept and in a wonderful, quiet location by the forest. You can see from the animals living there how well they are kept and we had a lot of fun watching them. A special highlight for us was the "Hoffee", who took wonderful care of our well-being and also let our son watch and help with the care of the animals. Many thanks for the wonderful days. We would have loved to stay longer and will definitely be back :)
A wonderful place, large, spacious, close to the forest and surrounded by animals. The children loved it! The chickens clucked around us, the children were allowed to feed the donkeys ... Dietmar and his wife are very uncomplicated and friendly. A nice bathroom on the site and electricity boxes make it very pleasant. We were there with a camper van and there were two motorhomes on the site next to us. As the site is very large, you are quite far apart and have privacy. Super nice!
We stayed with him and his wife for 3 days over New Year's Eve. A very nice place, both hosts are very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed this place with the donkeys right in front of the camper.
Uncomplicated and very friendly host and a very beautiful spot on earth, we felt completely at ease and would love to come back again. The home-baked spelt rolls are also highly recommended.
Simply wonderful! We were there for two nights with our little one (9 years old) and were blown away. It was even better than we thought! Dietmar, his wife and Hoffee Rosi are really nice, open-minded people. The animals can be stroked and the chickens visit you at the tent. Right next door in the forest you can go for a great walk and enjoy nature. We had a lot of fun and will definitely be back. The earlier the better! Whether with or without children, tent or camper, 100% recommendable. Also the delicious fresh eggs you can buy!!! I could rave on and on, but see for yourself :)

Dietmar is a great host. The place is beautiful, view of the donkeys and goats. Chickens & tomcat Gizmo also stop by from time to time. Nice bathroom. All in all, a place to relax and definitely recommended.
The AbHänger was even more cozy than we thought. With the stove and the veranda, you feel like you're in your own little fairy tale. This is further enhanced by the many animals (from a cuddly cat to a colorful peacock)! The bathroom with shower was a few meters away, large, spacious, clean, modern, beautiful and warm. Dietmar gave us a friendly welcome. His kind and warm personality made us feel immediately comfortable and welcome. The homemade bread rolls and fresh eggs are highly recommended, just like a few days in the AbHänger!
Excellent location. The owners Nicola and Dietmar are very friendly and were happy to show the donkeys and goats to our children and answer lots of questions. The location is very quiet, beautiful and full of animals - chickens, ducks, pheasants, a dog and a very friendly cat. The toilet and shower is very good. Definitely recommended.
Our little break in the trailer was great. It has everything you need and at this time of year you can make yourself cozy with the stove. Dietmar was very friendly and accommodating. We also got our fresh bread rolls in the morning :) Just great with the animals and the forest right outside the door. Always gladly again :)
A great pitch with a view of animal pastures and forest. Very quiet and relaxing location, because the settlement is surrounded by forest. To the domestic animals (donkeys, goats, cattle, chickens, ducks, peacocks and dog Leon) you get quickly contact. Dietmar is a very friendly and thoughtful host. We were provided with great tasting garden apples. The sanitary facilities (hut with tasteful, colorful-modern furnishings) is topp!!! We felt very comfortable. The surroundings explored we with the wheels. Thanks again for the pleasant time in the huge garden to Dietmar!!!

An idyllic spot. Highly recommended. Dietmar and his wife are very friendly and accommodating hosts. The kids were even able to get a little involved in caring for the animals and had huge fun doing it. It was great for big and small. We go home refreshed, inspired and with delicious homemade bread and will be back!!!!
We had a very nice time at the "Ab-Hanger"! Everything was as described and very relaxed! Our 4-year-old had a lot of fun with the animals and would like to vacation here again. The rolls and bread were very tasty and the construction trailer is well equipped.
Beautiful place to relax and enjoy nature. Everything has been thought of, a wonderful bathroom, electricity and water connection. Very nice well kept place next to donkeys, peacocks and other animals. A real paradise.

One of the most beautiful places in a long time! On a meadow, partly under trees, between chickens and ducks; a small, lovingly designed cottage with toilet and generous shower; on the site, moreover, you could watch goats, large donkeys and many other animals; nice spot to start bike tours - eg.e.g. in the nearby heath (former military area) and the Sielmann - hill with lookout tower; the peace on the place is wonderful; host Dietmar and his wife are extremely cordial; 2 nights were too short - a place to come back unconditionally!
We could not have spent a nicer weekend! Dietmar and his wife are super lovely hosts. The pitch directly on the donkey paddock surrounded by chickens has pleased us very well. Electricity, water, toilet and shower also available and well maintained. We would come again and recommend it :)
Super pitches, electricity, water and a cool sanitary building with toilet, k u. w water, super shower. " ** Communication ** with the animals ( 3 donkeys, goats peacocks just super 😉). Super nice briefing by the animal and farm keeper!!! Who just wants to switch off is exactly right there ! We come back with pleasure !

A beautiful spot to get away from it all. Far away from any big city hustle and bustle in a wooded environment with lots of animals, well-maintained sanitary facilities and a super nice host. Thank you very much.
Great place to end our trip. Rosi was very nice and we had a nice stay.
Absolutely relaxing almost therapeutic place to let go. Here our dog eats from one bowl with cat and chickens. All the animals here are very affectionate to people. Dittmar and family are very kind, friendly people who do very well. We stay now after 6 days a few days longer.
A super great place! JWD 😉 Therefore, but also nice and quiet. Totally nice and relaxed operator, a quite finely located place in the garden with animals to touch. Free-range chickens are perhaps a matter of getting used to. For us it was a pleasure. The homemade rolls taste fantastic 😊 Child-friendly is the whole also. We would very much like to come again. From us only recommendable.
