A very nice, green campsite on a large, well-maintained property that’s almost like a park, with a small pond and a view of an old mill. The host, Ralf, was super friendly. Booking was hassle-free. There are also great places to walk the dog. We’d love to come back!
My two dogs and I had a very relaxing stay with Ralf and Jochen. They were great to communicate with—very warm and down-to-earth guys. Whenever I had a question, they responded right away. They gave us such a warm welcome that we felt right at home. We’ll definitely be back, since there’s still so much to explore in the surrounding area.

For me, it was a great opportunity to take a few days off in January after the family hustle and bustle of the festive season. To be creative and still get out and about. Simply perfect! Ralf gave us a great welcome, explained everything very well and the place was really beautiful, right next to the old mill, with everything you need. We'll definitely be back!

The site is wonderful and spacious. The forest is right next door and you can immediately access the hiking trail from the property. Ralf is very accommodating and friendly. We felt completely at ease. Thank you very much.
There is a large area of possible pitches on site, as well as water and electricity. You can enjoy the privacy between art objects and nature.

The campsite is very nice. There is a lot of space and a large meadow. Ralf is very nice and looks forward to every visitor. There is a very nice path outside the campsite for cycling and walking. Really a very nice place to go on vacation and to relax.👍👍👍

Super location, very nice host. Unfortunately we only stayed overnight once, but would definitely recommend the place and would be happy to come back again.

Ralf has received us super nice. We could choose a place on the very well-kept property and could enjoy the evening undisturbed. So highly recommended and if we should be in the vicinity again we come gladly on a night or two over.

We can unreservedly recommend the place, the surroundings and of course Ralf. If you are looking for friendly people, lots of green, peace, interesting sculptures and lots of cordiality, you will find all this during a stay at the Old Mill in the Dong. From us there is the full score and warm greetings from the Black Forest :-).

We found with our WW on a huge, very well-kept, park-like property, located directly between cornfield and forest, a great place for 3 nights. Since it had rained heavily the days before Ralf offered us to put our WW on a gravelled place with a view of an orchard. Electricity, water and sewage were also very well attainable from there. Ralf and the property owner, who himself lives in an old, still functioning monument mill, were great hosts. Now I have many interesting stories to tell among my relatives, friends and family. You must visit Ralf, who is a camper himself, there. Karin & Horst

Ralf is a very nice and friendly host. Everything runs very uncomplicated. The grounds are extremely well maintained. Since the owners also live on the premises, it is recommended to follow the rules so that no misunderstandings arise. We will definitely visit this beautiful place again. Eerily beautiful, well-kept place and a relaxed host! The dog was welcome, water and electricity are available. Bread rolls are within walking distance, as well as a vantage point on which you can look at the surrounding Ruhr area. Thank you for everything, we will be happy to come back!
Yes there is, small oases of well-kept peace with great ambience, an owner/operator who is also totally relaxed and very sympathetic everyone feels welcome immediately. We come again. Oh disposal toilet only without chemicals everything easy. Best to call the operator is easier.

Super place, beautifully located. It was all self-explanatory and uncomplicated. In the immediate vicinity you can be on the slag heap and around the "Halde Norddeutschland" super hiking and MTB. We will certainly come again.

We were wonderfully quiet under trees on the grounds of the old mill. The area and the surroundings are very close to nature and super suitable for hiking and biking. We were received by Jochen very friendly, since Ralf himself was not there. He gave us tips for interesting destinations in the area and was an absolutely relaxed and recommendable host. Thank you Ralf, we stood with 2 vehicles on a wonderful property totally undisturbed. The area is ideal for hiking and via the stairway to heaven you have a great view from the slag heap.
