Hello dear camping and nature lovers,
our site is located directly at our alpaca forest garden, where we house our alpacas but also chickens and ducks. The place is very idyllic, surrounded by meadows and trees.
We have electricity, water and a toilet directly at our supply hut, which is centrally located at the site. This has a large refrigerator, a small kitchen with washing-up facilities and everything you need and can be used on request. A beautiful sun terrace invites you to linger, as well as our forest garden itself, where you can observe and meet the animals.
In addition, there is a small farm store on the site, where we offer homemade products made of alpaca wool, felt, ceramics and wood.
In addition, we have prepared a varied vacation program for the whole family. For example, you can get in touch with the animals and spend time with them.
In our forest garden there is also space and time to be creative. So there are various taster offers, where you can try out e.g. fun pottery, felting or the spinning wheel. (See flyer in the gallery)
We offer a delivery service for breakfast rolls and other regional delicacies from surrounding organic farm stores, which you can of course also visit on site.
In the evening you can grill and also use the fireplace for a cozy campfire.
In about 3 km distance is the Vils, which invites you to wonderful hikes or bike rides on wonderfully developed paths, along the Vils valley. Also in 4km distance you can reach the Danube, where you can also find many bike and hiking trails. In about 3 km you can reach the outdoor pool Pleinting.
The city of Vilshofen (approx. 17,000 inhabitants) is about 5km away where there are rustic beer gardens, a wide selection of restaurants, shopping and an airfield with restaurant, etc. to visit.
The three-river city of Passau (Danube/Ilz and Inn) is half an hour away by car and is always worth a visit with its countless sights.

Anja and Hubert gave us a warm welcome, and we felt right at home from the very beginning. We had a wonderful time at the Waldgarten. We really loved the lovingly designed space and the great amenities. As dog owners, we especially appreciated that the area is fenced in. Our dog felt right at home, too. It was a pleasure—both adults and kids felt right at home from the start. Anja and Hubert are incredibly kind hosts, and everything else was perfect, too. You’re surrounded by alpacas and can always find a shady spot under the trees. There’s a cabin with everything you need for a relaxing stay, and the camp is a great starting point for bike rides. We highly recommend it—we’d love to come back 🦙🫶🏻
"Alpaca Getaway"... that pretty much says it all! We had a wonderful and incredibly relaxing getaway. The place is designed with such attention to detail that you immediately feel completely at home. Lots of trees providing lovely shade, chilled drinks, a grill area, places to sit, a kitchen, water, a restroom (all spotlessly clean), and just peace and quiet… what more could you ask for! We especially appreciated the warmth and easygoing communication from our hosts, Anja and Hubert. And… the alpacas are just so cuddly. We’ll definitely be back! Thank you! Anja and Roland
Anja and Hubert are very nice hosts. It's a beautiful, quiet spot. It's nice that there are benches and a table, a swing chair, and a small kitchen. That way, we didn't have to dig everything out of our van. Everything was very straightforward.
