For us, this is our enchanted forest, where we live largely self-sufficiently and make toys from driftwood. A highlight is our annual firefly wedding, always held at the end of June. We are located on the northeastern edge of the Flechtinger Hills, near the Mittelland Canal, surrounded by nature.
Whether it’s natural bathing, swimming in the canal, exploring ancient burial mounds, sightseeing tours, or simply unwinding—the area is wonderful to explore on foot or by bike. In Haldensleben, 7 km away, you’ll find everything you need. In the spa town of Flechtingen, 11 km away, you’ll also find civilization.
Our state capital is just around the corner, about 40 km away, as are the A14 and A2 highways.

This activity day is just one example of the many other activity days held in the Enchanted Forest. On July 2, 2026, participants will work on their own wooden cars. The day is designed for children ages 3–7.

In the “Offline Adventure in the Enchanted Forest,” you’ll set out on your own on an exciting adventure filled with creative tasks and challenges. Equipped with envelopes that guide you from mission to mission, you’ll discover the forest in a whole new way. But beware: An ancient curse is slowly turning the Enchanted Forest into a dark moor. Only by working together to overcome all the trials can you save the forest’s magic.
