The Drögemühle is an old watermill in the headwaters of the Milde River. It is surrounded by meadows where Scottish Highland cattle graze. The entire farm is located directly on the edge of the forest. The nearest neighbor is about 800 meters downstream, the Hoppenmühle, and the nearest villages are about 2 kilometers away.
The Drögemühle is a listed building and is currently undergoing extensive renovation. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and cycling. We stayed at Simon's Drogemühle for one night. The weather was great, so we were able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the wonderful adjacent forest for two days. Simon is a very nice and helpful host. Next time, we'll definitely stay a little longer.
