Wake up to the sound of birdsong, surrounded by nature in the countryside, with a view of the horse pasture.

On the outskirts of a small village, we offer a campsite for RVs/campers up to 7.50 m and for tents.

In case of bad weather and upon request, you can also book our log cabin for an additional 20 € per night; please pay directly on site.

Barel is part of the beautiful municipality of Dötlingen and is located in the Wildeshauser-Geest Nature Park, nestled among forests, moors, and heathlands. Dötlingen itself has already made a name for itself as an artists’ village.

An ideal starting point for many excursions in all directions. Nearby cities such as Oldenburg, Bremen, and Wildeshausen are within easy reach, and the North Sea coast is just under an hour’s drive away.

Well-maintained bike paths allow you to explore the surrounding communities.

Please note the directions to our location in the photos. GPS systems sometimes direct you down a dirt road!

Jürgen and Margret are very kind hosts; we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The campsite has everything you could ask for—a beautiful, sheltered grassy area. We’d love to come back.

  • Great place, quiet location, and super-friendly hosts! Thanks to Margret and Jürgen for the smooth communication and the wonderful time we had with you. We stayed there with a 6.80-meter-long camper, which worked out perfectly. We’d love to come back!
