Wake up to the sound of birdsong, surrounded by nature in the countryside, with a view of the horse pasture.
On the outskirts of a small village, we offer a campsite for RVs/trailers up to 8.00 m and for tents.
In case of bad weather and upon request, you can also book our log cabin for an additional 20 € per night; please pay directly on site.
Barel is part of the beautiful municipality of Dötlingen and is located in the Wildeshauser-Geest Nature Park, nestled among forests, moors, and heathlands. Dötlingen itself has already made a name for itself as an artists’ village.
It’s an ideal starting point for many excursions in all directions. The surrounding cities, such as Oldenburg, Bremen, and Wildeshausen, are within easy reach, and the North Sea coast is just under an hour’s drive away.
Well-developed bike paths make it easy to explore the surrounding communities.

A truly lovely little spot in the “hinterland” with wonderful, easygoing hosts! I felt comfortable and welcome from the very first minute. “By campers—for campers” really hits the nail on the head; the property, campsite, and restroom/shower were well-maintained and clean.
