Are you looking for something other than a traditional campground—a quiet spot surrounded by nature? Our small, private campsite is nestled among old trees in the Lerbach Forest near Bergisch Gladbach. Here, you’ll hear mostly the wind, birds, and the animals of the forest—and at night, the starry sky opens up above the clearing.
Campervans up to 6 m, cars with roof tents, and tents are welcome. Travel trailers and large RVs won’t fit on the access road or the site. You’ll arrive on your own: After booking, you’ll receive detailed directions and the code for the combination lock on the gate.
The site is intentionally simple and close to nature. There is cold water in the outdoor area and a cold outdoor shower. For tent guests, a simple dry toilet or outhouse is provided. Chickens live on the property, and there’s also a dog. Please expect the sounds and encounters typical of a lively forest property.
A special bonus is the wood-fired sauna. You can use it by prior arrangement for an additional fee. Alternatively, you can offset the cost by helping to prepare firewood and restock the supply.
From the property, you can set out on a hike right away and discover a historically fascinating part of the Bergisches Land. The surrounding area features traces of past raw material extraction, mining, and old lime kilns. If I’m on site and time permits, a short, personalized guided tour is also possible by arrangement.
This spot is intended for people who seek peace and quiet, respect nature, and appreciate simple living. Consideration for the forest, animals, and neighbors goes without saying. Open fires and barbecues are not permitted.
