FrankOur 7000m2 property is located directly between the forest and civilization.
Who wants to spend a few relaxing days in the woods and let God be a good man, is in good hands with us. Of course, your dogs are also welcome, as long as they get along with our 4 cats that roam around on the grounds. Since there is a hiking trail and a dog meadow in the immediate vicinity of the camp, they are used to grief ;-)
Electricity for cooler or cell phone charger is of course available. However, it would be advisable to bring a cable drum.
Our outdoor toilet is very, very rustic but functional, so far at least everyone was pretty excited. Here you can also immortalize yourselves on our "wall of fame" (quasi our guestbook).
Attention: Since the toilet is not frost-proof, it is unfortunately not available in the winter months, because then we have to turn off the water for safety. Don't be alarmed, the water comes from a rather ferruginous well and can sometimes look a bit rusty. For flushing toilets and washing hands no problem, but for brushing teeth and making coffee it is nothing. In case of emergency we will fill up a canister with drinking water for you.
For a relaxing evening at the campfire our big fire bowl is at your disposal, against a small donation into the money box you shall not lack firewood. Of course, no one is bothered by music for an after-work beer here with us.
To the north, the property borders directly on an idyllic forest, which invites you to take long walks. 200 m to the east, a small river flows through an old water mill. During the summer months you can enjoy homemade cakes and fresh bread from the mill's own bakery once a month at the mill festival (www.niemoellers-muehle.de).
On the way to the mill you will also pass our well-stocked book exchange cabinet, where you can actually always find something for an evening with a good book.
Heading south, we reach civilization. A kiosk and a small snack bar with a great pizza to go, as well as a bus stop from which you can be taken to Bielefeld's city center within fifteen minutes, for example to explore the Bielefeld landmark, the Sparrenburg, are within walking distance.
Bielefeld's first brewery, the Bielefelder Braumanufaktur opened its doors last year in the immediate vicinity (15 min walk), here you can not only book a tour, but also be tasted every Wednesday directly on site with fresh brewed (bielefelder.com).
If you prefer to take a few laps in the cool water in the summer evenings, the open-air swimming pool is only 3 km away across the forest (www.naturbad-brackwede.de).
To fill up your supplies, there are various supermarkets (Kaufland/Aldi/Lidl etc.) within a radius of 1 - 2 km.
Please note: Who is looking for total silence and seclusion, is unfortunately not in good hands with us, depending on the wind and weather, the civilization can of course be heard. In clear weather and west wind, the highway is also not to be ignored.
Free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival. Or within 48 hours of booking, up to one day before arrival.
