Between the Heide and the Wendland, you’ll find the ultimate camping experience at our farm! Whether you’re staying for one night or longer.
The garden where you’ll be staying is managed in harmony with nature. Your camper or tent will be set up between the orchard and the flower meadow. Depending on the season, the meadow offers ever-changing colors. It’s mowed only once a year. And your neighbors are numerous old trees. Some of them are even dead, making them a perfect habitat for songbirds and many insects.
The area is surrounded by fields, woods, and a village with a population of just 120. Your excursions or next stops offer almost too many options to choose from: from the seemingly endless sandy landscape of the heath to the culturally unique region of Wendland, from a canoe trip on the Ilmenau River to the architectural splendor of the old salt town of Lüneburg. Or from the banks of the Elbe to the traces of ancient settlements by the Lombards, the Wends, or the people of the Great Stone Tomb era.
And even if you’re not traveling by car, you’ll find ideal conditions here. The “Blaubeerexpress”—the train line between Lüneburg and Dannenberg—is just a 15-minute walk away at the Bavendorf station, accessible via a convenient bike and walking path.
The farm is a former part-time agricultural operation and is closely connected to the nearby farm: there, you’ll find an edible garden, an agroforestry area, a woodland garden, extensive sheep farming, and a natural and agricultural space designed according to the latest ecological principles.
Is this all your thing? Then we look forward to your visit!
Please note that we’re not yet fully equipped for camping. Water supply and restroom facilities are still very basic.
