  Thanks to the extremely detailed directions and the site map, we found everything. Great showers, a small kitchenette, and absolute peace and quiet in the middle of nowhere. We were completely alone there, which was a little “spooky” at first. Pitch black! As city dwellers, we’ve rarely seen so many stars!!! It was just amazing. The electrical hookup was set up perfectly, and the lawns were freshly mowed. We’d love to come back, since the location—just 2 meters from the Saale River—is probably one-of-a-kind.   We had a very nice overnight stay here while passing through. Even though we arrived relatively late, we were greeted warmly. We didn’t realize just how beautiful the spot right on the water was until the next morning. The restrooms and showers were a few steps away, but clean. We were also offered the use of a small kitchen. If you’re looking for a very quiet campsite that has everything you need, this is definitely the place for you!

  A beautiful campsite right by the river on a well-maintained lawn in a wonderfully quiet and secluded area. Perfect for taking lovely walks while enjoying the peace and quiet of nature. An absolute highlight was the fountain festival with the amazing fireworks on the meadow next door—truly something special! We’d love to come back.
