Welcome to the Witch’s Cottage

Treat yourself to a stopover on a fenced-in natural property offering plenty of privacy. The campsite is located next to a small, uninhabited cottage from the 1950s in a scattered settlement on the outskirts. Fields and trails lie right next to it—there are no immediate neighbors.

The city centers of Nuremberg and Fürth are about a 30-minute drive away or a short bike ride for active cyclists. For families and those looking for recreation, Palm Beach (approx. 2 km) and the Playmobil FunPark (approx. 10-minute drive) are nearby.

The usable area of the property covers about 200 m² and is available exclusively to you. Nature is gradually reclaiming the rest of the property.

Dogs are welcome and may roam freely on the fenced-in property.

Note: There are currently (now-ripe) cherries on the ground under the large cherry tree. This may get dirt on your shoes.

Access is directly from the road. There is a parking spot in front of the cottage as well as—for vehicles up to just under 3 m in height—a spot under a shady tree. The ground is grass.

The parking spot is particularly suitable for campervans and smaller travel trailers. Motorhomes and travel trailers up to about 7 m in length are generally possible, though maneuvering may be somewhat more challenging depending on the vehicle.

Electricity and water are available.

Electricity: The electrical connection is intended for standard camping use (e.g., refrigerator, lighting, chargers, laptop, e-bike battery). The use of energy-intensive continuous-use appliances such as air conditioners, electric heaters, or charging electric vehicles is not permitted. Our electrical lines are not designed for this purpose. In the event of violations, we reserve the right to disconnect the power supply and to claim any additional costs incurred or damages caused by the violation.

For daily needs, there is a vending machine in town offering meat, eggs, and other regional products depending on the season. The nearest supermarket and bakery are about 2.5 km away.

During the transitional season and in winter, the ground may become soft during prolonged periods of rain. Should the campsite therefore be unusable, we will of course inform you in a timely manner.

Traveling without a car: Possible, but a bit more of an adventure. The campsite is located on the outskirts of town. The nearest bus stop, with buses to Nuremberg and Fürth every 10 minutes, is about 1.5 km away.

Information on hiking trails, bike routes, and the village can be found at www.eckershof.net
