Welcome to Oberhombach—a small, idyllic village where, with a little luck, you might see deer in the evenings. ;-)
Enjoy the sound of the Hombach stream and the natural surroundings in our garden. The spacious property surrounding our house, which we took over in 2024, offers plenty of room to relax and unwind amidst the Westerwald countryside.
On the path to the Hombach, which runs along the entire property, feel free to help yourselves to the blackberry and raspberry bushes or explore the nature trail to discover your own favorite spot in nature.The parking lot for guests staying in the tent area is signposted next to the house. The green space is then within walking distance if you follow the signs. For social evenings, there’s now a cozy fire pit, as well as a gas grill and skewers for stick bread—perfect for families or relaxed evenings for two.
There’s also plenty to experience around Wissen and Gebhardshain: Numerous hiking trails wind through the beautiful Westerwald landscape and invite you to go on extended hikes. History buffs can also visit one of the region’s former mines.
If you’d rather cook for yourselves or skip the local restaurants for a change, our spacious restroom area features a kitchenette equipped with everything you need. To promote mindful water use, the showers operate with shower tokens. One token per guest is already included; additional tokens can be purchased for €1 as needed. Electricity is available in the restroom area, but there is no electricity on the campsite itself. Please let us know before your arrival if you’re traveling with more than one car. This will help us better plan the parking spaces. The campground is accessible only on foot.

We were really thrilled. Our hosts were so warm and friendly. The property/garden is beautifully landscaped. We really loved the fire pit. We were able to cook over the campfire. We’d love to come back.
It was a wonderful weekend in a spot that was perfect for us, with incredibly kind hosts :-)! Everything was designed and organized with great attention to detail, and we were given an extremely warm welcome by Juliette, Dominik, and Buddy. Our kids were in seventh heaven with the stream, and we adults got to enjoy some truly relaxing hours as a result. Even the rain that started on the last day couldn’t dampen our spirits—instead, it made our little “adventure vacation” perfect. We’ll definitely be back—thank you so much again for the wonderful time :-) !!!
A fantastic camping spot with wonderful hosts! Juliette, Dominik, and Buddy gave us a warm welcome. The site is easy to find, parking is available right on-site, and getting there is a breeze. We had the place all to ourselves and enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere—perfect for campfire evenings under the starry sky. Handy: Firewood is available on-site at very reasonable prices. Supermarkets are also just a short drive away. The restrooms were spotless and well-equipped. A little bonus: The walk there gives you a mini workout, so it keeps you fit! 😉 A full 5 out of 5 stars!"
We (three dads with kids) camped at Juliette’s from Saturday to Sunday. Juliette and her husband are great hosts—very helpful and really nice. The really large property stretches along a small stream, which our kids had a blast playing in during the hot weekend. Under the oak tree in the middle of the meadow, there was a shady spot all day long, so we didn’t need the umbrella or the tarp. In the evening, we made bread on a stick and grilled sausages at the beautiful fire pit. Convenient skewers are provided. The bathroom and toilets are spacious, lovingly designed, and super clean. The sink area also has two portable hot plates and pots. The road next to the property is audible during the day but quiet at night. The great thing is that there’s no (or very little) cell phone reception down on the meadow—no distractions or kids playing around!!! You get reception at the house, and there’s also guest Wi-Fi there. We had a wonderful time—thank you!
