The village of Věckovice is situated in a picturesque landscape on the northern slope of the Bohemian Forest, about 9 km northwest of the center of Klatovy and about 28 km east of Domažlice. The area around Věckovice is ideal for cycling, and the nearby Bohemian Hills offer excellent conditions for hiking. Those who want to visit castles, fortresses, museums, or observation towers will also find plenty to enjoy here. You can go swimming at the pools in Dolany (6.5 km) and Klatovy (6.5 km) or at the water park in Kdynie (20 km). In Klatovy (8 km), there is an indoor pool, tennis courts, a gym, and squash and badminton facilities. You can go fishing on the Úhlava River (starting at 6 km) and at Bílka Pond (22 km).
