  • Easy booking through the Hinterland app, a very friendly host (Greta), and a great spot for camping. We set up camp in a fruit tree orchard and felt very comfortable there from Saturday into early Sunday. The spot is in a quiet location, and only a single cyclist passed by the entire time.

  • The people offering this piece of land are great. Both the phone conversations and our in-person interactions went smoothly. The area consists of meadows surrounding a farm that can be used as campsites. Unfortunately, it’s not as private as it’s described, and it doesn’t offer that pure nature experience since you’re only 50–100 meters away from the house at most. Campsites with a more natural feel are planned for the future.

  • Ninja, it wasn’t exactly quiet. You can hear cars on the nearby country road over and over again all night long, and the wind turbine makes some noise, too (though that isn’t very bothersome). Blackberries and thistles were growing all over the meadow. It needs to be tended to again to make it kid-friendly. The lake that was advertised—the one I was supposed to find—is apparently 3 km away, according to what I was told. What doesn’t come across in the pictures is that the site is located behind a defunct factory. It’s not an ugly place, but for 26 euros, it’s not my personal recommendation. There are better options for those on a tighter budget.

  • It was a great stay—I'd love to come back anytime!

  • It was super relaxing and in a really quiet spot; a curious fox made a brief appearance, followed by a hawk that came very close. In the evening by the campfire, you could watch the owls in the trees, and the next morning a pair of pheasants showed up—I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the meadow was full of ticks, but that’s just part of the deal if you don’t want to stay on the paved area. I had a very relaxing stay and would love to come back!
