Camping on the Hochalm – Pure nature at over 2,000 meters

This simple, unspoiled campground is perfect for anyone seeking peace, freedom, and an authentic mountain experience.

You can expect a secluded spot in the heart of nature, surrounded by fresh mountain air and fantastic hiking trails. Right in the area, you’ll find numerous hiking opportunities as well as a rustic cabin that invites you to linger.

The campsite is intentionally kept simple—there are no sanitary facilities (though there is an outhouse), but fresh spring water from the well.

In case of bad weather, you can find shelter in my small cabin located right there.

Getting There:

Access by car (4x4) is limited. Good driving skills are an advantage!

The final section follows a hiking trail and takes about 30 minutes on foot.

A special experience for anyone who loves the unspoiled wilderness and wants to feel the mountains up close.

If the climb is too challenging, you can camp at the lower alpine pasture!

This is directly accessible by car.
