Come visit us in Thuringia at our beautiful half-timbered barn!

A special spot awaits you on the mezzanine: cozy, homey, and romantic. Plus, the barn’s massive dimensions—over 200 years old—create a wonderful sense of space. The air is filled with the scent of fresh hay, and the birds are chirping. Otherwise, you’ll hardly hear a thing—our four-sided farmstead, which is in need of renovation, is located in a very rural and absolutely quiet setting in a tiny village, right on the edge of a field, from where you can take lovely walks.

Our beautiful natural property begins right behind the barn with countless fruit trees, where you’re welcome to snack on fresh fruit straight from the tree.

At night, the starry sky shines, and if you like, you can light a campfire in the garden.

We’re located here on the edge of the Thuringian Vogtland, and there’s plenty to discover in the surrounding area within a 20-kilometer radius—from relaxing by the lake to hiking, culture, and culinary delights, we’ve got it all.

We’re also very easy to reach by train. Just 2.5 kilometers away, in the neighboring town, there’s a direct line to Leipzig, and in the other direction, you can get to Hof, Regensburg, and Munich with just one transfer.

On Saturdays, the bakery truck comes, and on Tuesdays, a mobile grocery store comes right into the village.

For shared use, there’s our summer kitchen, which we’ve set up in an old part of the building. Right in front of it is a sunny terrace with a view of our wild herb garden and our natural garden. Or you can sit in the shade of the huge old chestnut tree.

In short: For people who love nature and tranquility and want to visit a different place with a touch of adventure, away from the everyday and the familiar, our farm is just the thing.

By staying with us, you also support our sustainable farm project, which conserves resources and promotes and protects biodiversity.

You can also purchase our fine, homemade products, made with love from the fruits of our paradise garden.

Our asking price is 20 euros per adult per night; an extra bed for children is available for 10 euros per night. (Bedding and final cleaning included; please bring your own towels).

To offer affordable accommodation to solo travelers, we ask couples to book 2 accommodations (= 1 bed each) here on the portal. Of course, the barn is reserved exclusively per booking—even for solo travelers—and will not be shared with strangers.

For cold nights, the beds are equipped with mattress heaters.

The shared bathroom is located in the main building across from the barn.

Bicycles are available to borrow for excursions.

Pets are welcome at no extra charge.

We have a very friendly dog ourselves who loves meeting all our guests.
