About the Campground

Ruppersdorf is located in the heart of the charming Upper Lusatia region. The public swimming pool here opened as early as 1925 and includes a small, idyllic campground. A visit is worthwhile in any season, as the region offers a wide range of opportunities for relaxation and exploration.

Numerous towns worth visiting are located in the immediate vicinity, such as Herrnhut, known for the Moravian Church, as well as Zittau, Liberec, Löbau, Rumburg, Görlitz, and Bautzen. Nature lovers will also find plenty to enjoy: the Jizera Mountains, the Giant Mountains, the Lusatian heath and pond landscape, and the Zittau Mountains are all excellent destinations for day trips.

The area around Ruppersdorf is characterized by lovingly preserved half-timbered and post-and-beam houses. This unique architectural style is typical of Upper Lusatia and Lower Silesia and gives the region its special charm.

Cyclists will find ideal conditions here—from leisurely flat routes to more challenging, mountainous tours, there’s something for every level of ability. After an active day, our guests can relax on the spacious meadows of the Volksbadcamp, play badminton, beach volleyball, or table tennis, grill by the fireplace, or wind down the evening by the campfire.
