Open Space with a View – A Break in Our Apple Orchard

Welcome to our apple orchard on the outskirts of the idyllic village of Hofweiler.

Hofweiler is picturesquely situated on a hill, surrounded by meadows, fields, and forests. You can set out on beautiful hikes, explore the area by bike, or simply enjoy the sweeping views.

Here, a special place awaits you to slow down, relax, and enjoy yourself. From the campsites, you can enjoy a magnificent view across the fields of Hofweiler, over the Kyll Valley, and all the way toward Fidei. The quiet location and natural surroundings make this spot the ideal starting point for relaxing days in the Southern Eifel.

Farm Shop & Regional Specialties:

Right next door is the Schiltzhof farm shop. There, you can purchase groceries around the clock, as well as numerous products made on-site and from the region.

In addition, the Schiltzhof offers alpaca walks, meet-and-greets with the alpacas, and regular yoga sessions.

Active Outings:

The picturesque “Eine Spur erholsamer” circular hiking trail passes right by the campground. Cyclists and mountain bikers will also find numerous scenic routes through the varied landscape of the Southern Eifel.

Shopping & Attractions:

In the neighboring towns, you’ll find bakeries, pizzerias, and a large REWE supermarket, as well as other shopping options.

The cities of Trier and Bitburg are about 20 to 25 minutes away. The Luxembourg border is only about 10 km away and is ideal for day trips.

Good to know:

If parking on the grass is not possible due to weather conditions, paved parking spaces are available as an alternative.

Arrival is only possible with your own camping toilet. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate vehicles without their own toilet.

Please be careful upon arrival not to accidentally park on the neighboring Schiltzhof campground.
