Our meadow in Friedrichshafen-Schnetzenhausen is a simple overnight spot for self-sufficient camper vehicles, ideal for travelers passing through or for a few relaxing days in the Lake Constance region. Last-minute bookings are also welcome.
Important to note: Our site is not a traditional campground, but a simple, natural parking area with no infrastructure. There is no electricity, no water, no restroom, and no shower. This makes the site particularly suitable for guests looking for exactly that: a quiet place to stay, an easy arrival, and the ability to move on or explore the region without much hassle.
The meadow is situated in a quiet spot on the edge of a residential area with a view of Lake Constance apple trees. The ground is mostly flat and natural, and each site is at least 8 x 9 meters in size. Access to Highway 31 is just a short drive away, making the site particularly convenient for travelers passing through or explorers who want to quickly head out in any direction.
Just about 3 km away is the âAlter Campingplatzâ recreation area, featuring swimming, a beach cafĂ©, SUP rentals, and picnic areas. The Fischbach lake and outdoor pool are also nearby. The surrounding area is also well-suited for cyclists, hikers, motorcyclists, and visitors to Lake Constance.
Within walking distance are, among other things, the Hotel/Restaurant Krone with various recreational options, as well as the Old Pub, a bakery, and the âVintage 1989â wine bar. A large supermarket approximately 1.9 km away rounds out the convenient location.
We place great importance on a simple and self-service process. Our guests should be able to arrive and depart without needing to coordinate on-site. After booking, you will receive all important information via email.
Since the campsite is located next to an apple orchard, you may occasionally see a small tractor driving nearby during the day. The meadow is regularly maintained.

Wind- and kitesurfing is basically possible on Lake Constance with a permit from the Schiffartsamt. The nearest spot is 3km away in Fischbach.

Also the fee-paying lake and open-air swimming pool Fischbach is right next door. (Attention the parking lot there has a 2.1m height restriction).

To the right of the recreational area "Alter Campingplatz", which is 3km away, there is a natural sandy beach, which is very rare for Lake Constance.

In the immediate vicinity (250m walk), the Hotel Krone offers a tennis court, which can be booked online on the hotel website.
Playing by the water
Those who want to go to the lake will find great swimming opportunities, a beach café incl. SUP rental, barbecue facilities and a free sunbathing lawn with sun and shade areas only 3km away at the recreational area "Alter Campingplatz". The lake and open-air swimming pool Fischbach, for which a fee is charged, is also right next door.
Kayaking, canoeing
Stand-up paddling is allowed on Lake Constance, 3km away. If the water level is suitable, a kayak tour on the Schussen is also possible. Entry e.g. in Kehlen.
MTB
There are some mountain bike trails in the region, e.g. at Gehrenberg.
