Iglucraft at the Wendland Nature Park near the Elbe

Visit us for a break in our construction trailer in this beautiful area between Lüneburg, the Elbe River, and the Wendland region! The property is located directly on the Wendland Elbe Nature Park, and the Lower Saxony Elbe River Valley Biosphere Reserve is just around the corner.

The cozy 18 m² Iglucraft is elevated on a chassis in a clearing right on the edge of the forest. You'll have the place all to yourselves, but still be within earshot of the main house! You'll be looking out onto a meadow that is gradually developing into a biotope.

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed due to the farm dog. Laze in bed with a view through the round window, go cycling or canoeing, hike in the forest right next door, take a stroll under the stars in the Elbe Valley on the dike or in the heath, swim in the small sandy bays on the Elbe, watch beekeepers at work or go mushroom picking. There is plenty of culture—the Wendland region is just around the corner, and the villages in the immediate vicinity are also blossoming, with cafés, a winery, an art association, a cultural center offering concerts, a few nice restaurants, organic farms, and farm shops.

Many forest and meadow animals and plants are your neighbors, the property is completely accessible on mowed paths, we are looking for nature-loving people with an interest in the little things and happenings, there is so much to discover! This is not the only reason why the igloo is ideal for people who are not afraid of tall grass and buzzing insects. The construction trailer is equipped with thick fly screens. Two people who are close to each other can comfortably fit in the 1.60-meter-wide bunk bed. It's 25 minutes to Lüneburg and an hour to Hamburg if there's no traffic. If you're arriving by train, it's best to travel locally by bike and bus.

The igloo has its own mini bathroom with hot water, shower, and composting toilet. The small kitchenette has a refrigerator, two hotplates, and everything else you need for cooking. A small semi-automatic coffee machine/portafilter ensures decent espresso. There is electricity and fiber-optic internet.

Depending on the season and weather, you can have breakfast indoors or outdoors, and in the evening enjoy the sunset at the edge of the property. At night, the stars twinkle in total darkness; only the moon illuminates the place in its usual cycle.

The forest rustles loudly in the wind, and you can also hear the nearby wind turbines! There is agriculture! Sowing, harvesting, tractors in spring and fall. But often there is also: nothing. Smoking is allowed on the terrace. Smoking is prohibited in the igloo itself and on the property.

The igloo is located on the grounds of an old, half-renovated Lower Saxony servants' house. At the front of the driveway, you will still find evidence of the construction site near the main house, which was completed last year, such as big bags, scaffolding parts, and IBC tanks. The rest of the property, 2.3 hectares, is green and untouched.
