In Upper Lusatia directly on the river with bathing place

Hostess Lisa, three dogs, three sheep and 60 chickens welcome you to what may be the easternmost farm in the backcountry. Lisa is a trained organic gardener and moved here with dogs, sheep and chickens at the end of 2020.

Her farm is located on a quiet river right on the Polish border. You just park your camper at the end of the property: right on the water across from the forest.

There's nothing here. And everything. The river ripples by, the forest looms lush green. You look up at the endless sky and your eyes get used to seeing the horizon again. Enthusiastic swimmers start the day with a jump into the river.

But also the surroundings are the dream of every nature fan. The Upper Lusatia region on the border with Poland is unknown territory for most people. The West Slavic people of the Sorbs live here and are proud of their culture and language. 20 minutes along the river you come to the culture island Einsiedel with the floating tree house café. On the Polish side, the largest forest in Central Europe awaits you. Everywhere you can discover small, sleepy forest villages and forest pubs or forest cafés.
