In central Portugal, at the foot of the Estrella and Açor mountains. Lies our small olive plantation (the olive basket). Nearby there are many beautiful river beaches (one only 5 minutes away). Many hiking trails that either go along streams or in the mountains some through photoperfect Xhist villages (slate villages). In the mountains there are beautiful viewpoints and several swings with great views of the valley. And of course waterfalls with swimming opportunities.
In the countryside there are many ancient olive trees with beautiful spots in between. Great for hanging a hammock and listening to the birds, butterfly watching and the children can let off steam on the swings and Slakline/Ninja Line.
The olive basket is a 5 minute drive from a very nice river beach and 15min from Arganil (there are 3 large supermarkets here) weekly market. Coimbra (city) is only an hour drive away.
