Railroad meets rural romance

We welcome you to our idyllically located parking space "Eisenbahn trifft Land Romantik" (Railway meets Country Romance). Do you love to marvel at trains? Watch sheep or simply enjoy beautiful sunsets? Admire the horses as they ride carefree across the paddock?

Fresh eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast? Hearing the tractor in the field or just sitting and watching the exciting trains between Treuchtlingen and Gunzenhausen? Then you've come to the right place! Do you have children with you? We'd love to have them! Our large natural meadow is perfect for exploring, playing, and discovering.

From Easter onwards, you will find sheep, a cat, and a few chickens and rabbits here. There are horses in their paddock adjacent to the property. Our parking space is located behind our farm with a wonderful view and fantastic evening sun. From around April to November, you can park right next to the inhabited sheep pasture. Would you rather be close to the railway or the wheat fields? No problem, you are welcome to choose with us. You will find us in the beautiful Franconian Lake District, about 50 km southwest of Nuremberg/Middle Franconia, in the small village of Aha, right next to the impressive small town of Gunzenhausen. From here, you can explore the Altmühlsee, the small and large Brombachsee, or the Rothsee and Igelsbachsee. The paths here are perfect for long bike rides or just a short exploratory tour. In summer, the lakes offer a welcome opportunity to cool off.

Distance to the bike path directly on the Altmühl: 300 meters Distance to Altmühlsee: 4 km Distance to small Brombachsee: 10 km Distance to large Brombachsee: 15 km Distance to Gunzenhausen: 1 km (groceries, etc.) The towns of Weißenburg, Treuchtlingen, and Ansbach also invite you to linger and stroll.

Any vehicle of any size is welcome to park here. Barbecuing with a gas grill is also no problem. However, as we are located in a very rural area, we ask that you refrain from using charcoal. On request, you are welcome to use our camping toilet for an additional fee. Our small tent protects you from prying eyes.

A stocked refrigerator is now available for your use. There you will find cool drinks, fresh eggs, a few treats, and ice cream for spontaneous refreshment. Payment is straightforward and based on trust. The parking space includes 4 people and 1 vehicle! Please write to us if you have any questions.
