Welcome to our little world, which we’re happy to share with you.
You’ll be staying on the edge of the Westerwald Nature Park, in a beautiful and idyllic spot on a hill overlooking a valley with a river, surrounded by forests—a place where “foxes and hares say good night to each other.”
We live on a small hill and are surrounded by forests. Thanks to the minimal light pollution, you can see a beautiful starry sky here.
Our campsite is perfect for couples and friends who want to avoid the hustle and bustle of a campground, are looking for a bit of wilderness, and don’t want to sacrifice comfort.
!! In another listing, there is also an option for a family campsite. !!
The campsites are freely accessible to wildlife, such as deer and foxes, making sunrises and sunsets an even more beautiful experience.
From the campsite meadow, it’s 100–150 meters to the restroom facilities and kitchen, depending on where you choose to park.
These are located within our fenced-in private property.
There is also a small clearing (visible in the last five photos) in our nearby grove where you can set up.
Please note: we cannot provide an electrical connection here. The restroom and kitchen are about 200 meters away.
There you’ll find a small bathroom with a shower and toilet, a simple kitchen with a small gas stove, a seating area, and a caravan, all in a retro style. The complex is fully covered, keeping you dry even in bad weather.
At the campsite, you’ll find a beer table set and an old barn shelter.
Good to know:
Please bring your own towels, soap, and toiletries.
A basic power connection to your camper can be provided upon request (for a small fee).
For hot water, there is a small boiler that needs to be reheated as needed.
You are welcome to rent a fire pit and wood for a small fee.
You’ll be staying in our home, surrounded by nature, and we ask that you do so mindfully and respectfully.
For games and fun, please use the campsite meadow, the small forest, or the other surrounding meadows—please do not use our garden.
We also have a dog (who loves to be petted;) and children living here. If you’re afraid of dogs or prefer a child-free zone, staying with us is probably not the best fit for you.
Depending on the weather, the meadow may become too muddy, so you may need to use our parking lot on the forest path instead. From there, it’s about 100 meters to the restroom and other facilities.
It’s best to contact us if there’s heavy rain before you arrive.
When you leave, please take your trash and cigarette butts with you and leave everything clean (including the restroom and such ;) and just as you found it.
At night, we often get little visitors, such as raccoons, so please don’t leave any food or trash lying around and keep the kitchen door closed.
Please no parties or using the restroom on the meadow or in the woods.

Great place for a quiet getaway. The hosts were always friendly. The kitchen and bathroom were fantastic. And when it rains, you can relax under the roof. I had a very relaxing stay—thanks!
5 out of 5 stars – An absolute natural paradise all to ourselves! We had a fantastic hiking weekend with Alexandra and her family! The location is a dream for anyone seeking complete peace and quiet: We had the entire area completely to ourselves and thoroughly enjoyed our time together by the campfire (there was plenty of firewood!) and at the grill. An absolute highlight was the visit from wild animals—we were able to spot two deer and some cool birds right away. The restrooms were top-notch, super clean, and had reliable hot water for showers. The welcome was incredibly warm, the kids were super sweet, and the family dog charmed us right away. When we idiots even forgot our Bluetooth speaker at home, Alexandra lent us one without any fuss—our lifesaver for the evening! You can start hiking right from the property (our recommendation: the sections of the Westerwaldsteig are beautiful!). The price might be a tad steeper compared to other spots, but for that exclusive “sense of solitude” in the middle of nature and the wonderful hospitality, it was absolutely worth it. Thank you so much for the lovely getaway—we’d love to come back! All the best, Jenny & Leon
A really lovely spot surrounded by nature with very friendly hosts :-) We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!
Great location. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Everything is spotless. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, stove, pots, dishes, cutlery, etc. It’s very well located; you can hardly hear the street at all (except maybe the occasional motorcycle), and you can barely hear the nearby campground either, since there’s a small sloping wooded area in between. Instead, after a short walk, you can reach a beautiful wide, flat river (the Wied). Right from the property, there’s a beautiful view of the local mountain and the hills in the background. Higher vantage points with panoramic views are easily accessible on foot.
