On the edge of the forest, with a breathtaking view of the valley and the neighboring villages as well as the horse pastures, this pitch is characterized by its tranquility and seclusion. Easily accessible by car or camper via gravel paths, it is about 1 km away from our Icelandic horse stud.
Pure nature - for anyone who wants to escape the stress and hectic pace of everyday life for a few days.
There is no electricity or toilet here, but you can fill up with water, buy food and/or drinks, use the toilet or chat with us or our guests over a cup of coffee.

Super kind and warm hosts ❤️ The spot lives up to its promise! Most of the time, you’re on your own in nature—and with a phenomenal view! In the morning, the only thing that might wake you up is a group of horseback riders :) The area also serves as a parking lot for horse trailers… someone was tinkering with one in the morning, but it didn’t bother us.
We got to enjoy a beautiful sunrise from Erec’s campsite. The spot is lovely and secluded, and you can just take in nature. The starry sky was also incredibly beautiful, and it’s definitely worth looking up at the sky at night—we saw quite a few shooting stars. Booking with Erec is practically a must—he’s super friendly and helpful, and the campsite is just fantastic all around. We’ll definitely be back! 🌅✨
The place was beautiful—we saw shooting stars, a rabbit, and a fox! Erec gave us a warm welcome and showed us around.
Our stay in Berlar exceeded our expectations. The spot where we were allowed to camp was beautifully secluded—surrounded by woods and meadows. We got to enjoy the sunrise in the morning with a view of the valley and listen to the forest animals and horses in the evening. Erec and Angela went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We were able to get coffee at the idyllic farm, use the restroom, and refill our water supply at any time. We really enjoyed it. The entire surrounding area is also gorgeous. A real hidden gem!
