I was greeted very warmly, and everything went very smoothly.
I arrived by bike shortly before 10:00 p.m., pretty exhausted and sweaty... I was allowed to take a shower in one of the rooms at the attached inn and also use the restaurant’s restrooms. That was really the “game-changer” for my night in the tent. I was allowed to set up my tent on a meadow a short distance from the main gravel campsite. Really nice hosts. Unfortunately, the next day was their day off, so I ended up having breakfast along the route further toward Salzburg. If you’re arriving by bike from Landau: be sure to take the old railroad right-of-way / bike path.
