Panoramic and leisure campsite at 1,180 meters with a pool

Hello, fellow camping enthusiasts,

My name is Martin, and I’m a lucky guy. I live in the most beautiful spot on earth—the Lesachtal, the most beautiful valley in the Alps. My girlfriend Selina, my daughters Alina and Mathilda, I, and my whole family have been running a small mountain inn and a farm for three generations now. For me, it’s a great joy, and—despite all the hard work—I feel a sense of freedom because I can structure my day as I please, and there’s no better place to enjoy life.

The panoramic parking area is located at just under 1,200 meters above sea level, right in the heart of the Lesach Valley. From there, you have a panoramic view stretching over 130 kilometers across the entire Carinthian region. In addition to the magnificent view, we invite you to stop by our inn. Whether it’s an aperitif before dinner or an afternoon coffee—everything tastes twice as good on our sunny terrace.

You’re also welcome to have breakfast at the Lahnerhof Inn—breakfast is served daily from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. You can also enjoy a cozy dinner with us. Please note that we’re closed on Tuesdays and do not serve dinner on that day.

The inn is open from mid-May through mid-October and over New Year’s Eve.

The drive to the Lahnerhof is typical of our beautiful mountain region: winding, narrow in places, and a little more spectacular with every meter of elevation gain. The last 2 km or so from the main road up to Obergail can be a bit challenging for larger RVs. However, with careful driving and a bit of patience, the route is definitely manageable. And after all, as we like to say: You have to earn that magnificent view a little bit! Once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Carinthian mountains—and by then, at the very latest, the drive will be quickly forgotten.

Our campsite is particularly well-suited for self-sufficient campers looking for something special.

You’re also welcome to use our shower in the garden—since it’s a “panoramic shower,” we recommend wearing a swimsuit. The restrooms at the inn are also available from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (just a two-minute walk away).

Gray water and wastewater disposal are not available.

Upon arrival, the local tax and overnight stay fee (€4.00 per person per day) will be charged on site.
