There’s plenty of space on our old farm to pitch your tent or park whatever vehicle you’re driving!

In a small village of 130 people in the Gifhorn district, near Hankensbüttel, you’ll find incredible peace and quiet in the heart of nature—and often a beautiful starry sky. From our farm, we have a direct view of fields and woods; within walking distance is a heathland area (part of the very last corner of the Lüneburg Heath)—as well as many other beautiful little woods and meadows.

Since the farm is older, don’t expect a stylish, glossy “country house catalog” farm, but rather something old and a bit overgrown :)

By arrangement, you can also use our bathroom/toilet, a refrigerator, electricity, etc.—in return, we’d appreciate a few coins in the donation box.

The nearest town with a supermarket and other amenities is 5 km away.

  • On a farm

    On a farm

We live on a farmstead—it’s still pretty run-down but cozy. Aside from our dogs, we don’t have any other animals yet—just hundreds of birds, insects, and everything else that goes about its business here.

  • Between trees

    Between trees

There's a huge oak tree in the yard for camper vans, and it's cozy in the back :)

  • With a shady place

    With a shady place

Should be possible, depending on the time of day of course :)

  • Between fields

    Between fields

All around the village are fields of all kinds. We are really quite out of the way here.

    May 2026

Hi everyone, we wanted to escape the stress of Pentecost and found exactly what we were looking for at Julez and Philipp’s place. Aside from a few locals who drove past the property in their cars to see who was camping in the yard, it was completely quiet in the village of 120 residents. We were probably the highlight of the long weekend. Shopping was no problem. We were able to shop until 9:00 PM on Saturday at a store 6 km away. We didn’t have any bikes with us. (Unfortunately, both were broken.) There are no bike paths on the road to Hankelsbüttel. (for shopping) So it wasn’t too bad that we had to drive. A small perk when traveling with a camper. ;) We were warmly welcomed and felt right at home from the very first moment. The three nights were wonderfully relaxing for us. On the last evening, we sat around the campfire with Julez and Philipp. We’ll definitely be back. A big thank you to both of you. Best regards, Carolin and Götz

The pitch is as described, located on a not-so-frequently used road, so that real peace and quiet only sets in late at night. We did not meet Julia in person due to her own vacation-related absence. The communication in connection with the booking was friendly and open-minded.

I had a relaxed overnight stay with Phillip & Julez :) I was warmly welcomed in a small village where it gets very quiet in the evening and the starry sky is really great! The pitch was covered (as in the photos) and straight. I would love to come back :)
