An orchard meadow with 40 trees on the edge of the Odenwald invites you to linger.
Suitable for self-sufficient campers.
The path to the meadow is a gravel road (200 m).
The wildlife enclosure, home to ponies, goats, pigs, and of course rabbits—as the name Hasenwald suggests—features a restaurant open in the evenings and a public restroom that can be opened by inserting cash.
The restaurant is about 400 m away and accessible on foot.
(Update: The restaurant is closed until fall due to a change in ownership; the restroom remains open.)
The Eberstadt stalactite cave is also just a 3-minute drive away.
The meadow is located outside the village and offers plenty of parking space in good weather.
In rain and mud, the site is only partially accessible by vehicle.
