Welcome to the tiny village of Schlockow in Mecklenburg.
We hope you’ll enjoy what we have to offer.
I’m Stefanie, a teacher who loves nature and wildlife. My partner, Ulf, is a passionate shepherd and farmer (part-time).
We’d love to help even more people discover our beautiful region, which is perfect for a getaway.
What our guests can expect:
A construction trailer (approx. 18 square meters), insulated and very cozy.
Kitchen: sink, gas stove/oven, plenty of utensils and dishes provided. Refrigerator in the shed.
Double bed (1.4 x 2 m).
With its own composting toilet.
With a solar-powered shower in the garden.
With solar power supplied from the main house.
With an outdoor seating area.
With a parking space.
Located on the edge of the village and wonderfully quiet.
I lived in my beloved construction trailer “Lieserl” for five years straight and know this for a fact: In principle, that’s all it takes to be happy! In the morning, the sun shines on the trailer, inviting you to enjoy a cup of coffee on the steps and explore the surrounding area. In the spring, the nightingale sings right next door in the apple tree… In just under 20 square meters, you can feel so wonderfully safe and fulfilled. I’d love to make this experience accessible to more people.
The property is teeming with lively wildlife—creeping, crawling, hopping, flying, and slithering. Our own chickens and our rooster Swiffer roam freely and provide plenty of eggs. Our friendly little dogs, Milly and Mali, keep an eye on things. Jule the cat and Esko the tomcat are on the hunt for rodents.
Various amphibians live in the mini-pond. Fruit trees and bushes provide food and hiding spots for nearly 50 species of birds.
With a little luck, you can hear tree frogs and fire-bellied toads—and with even more luck, you might even spot them. Grass snakes, common spadefoot toads, dormice, and weasels also live here. White-tailed eagles regularly circle the sky above Schlockow.
The garden is home to many native perennials, shrubs, and trees, ensuring great biodiversity.
Here in the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park, you can enjoy excellent cycling, paddling (on the Warnow River and the many lakes), hiking, swimming, and simply relaxing.
The Baltic Sea is only about 35 km away as the crow flies. Rostock, Schwerin, and Wismar are only about 30–45 minutes away. The Bützow train station, an ICE stop, is conveniently located and can serve as a starting point for many trips in the region (Hamburg, Lübeck, Stralsund, etc.).
Nearby attractions include the Warnow Gorge, numerous megalithic tombs, the Slavic settlement of Groß-Raden, and other points of interest.
Above all, however, you’ll find PEACE AND QUIET here!
One downside:
Based on past experiences and to spare our many small and large animals unnecessary stress, we ask that you please do not bring dogs.

If there were more than 5 stars, I’d give them right away ✨ We had a wonderful stay—the place is really small but has such a warm, welcoming vibe! The construction trailer is super cozy; we had everything we needed, and Stefanie and Uwe were so warm, open, and helpful. We’d love to come back!
We had such a wonderful weekend at Stefanie's…the construction trailer was great, it had everything we needed, and we were given a very warm welcome by both the people and the animals! The surroundings are also absolutely beautiful—you definitely have to visit the Durchbruch Valley :)
It was a really lovely stay at the cabin for 4 days in a row. It is minimalistic, but actually has everything you need - fully functional kitchen, comfy bed and cosy dinner space. We came with bikes with minimal equipment and spent these days comfortable enough. The only thing, you need to be ready for is: there is no hot water in the cabin itself and the shower is outside. The surroundings around are beautiful: picturesque fields, lakes and woods. The village is tiny and very open to guests and welcoming. Thanks again for hosting, definitely would like to come again!
My partner and I had a few very relaxing days in the super cozy construction trailer. Stefanie and Ulf are very nice and helpful people. We felt very at home. The place is truly in the middle of nowhere. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation, this is the perfect spot. We really enjoyed watching the dogs and chickens romping and scratching around the garden, and we’d love to come back :-)
