Suitable for

This spot is located away from the small village of Steinbach, in a sparse forest surrounded by nature. You can park your car on the meadow in front of the forest. A small path leads you from the quiet forest trail to the level, approximately 2x2 m spot where you can pitch your tent. If you are quiet, you can hear the Schönertsbach stream babbling by. In summer, it offers pleasant refreshment and, after you get up, it awakens your spirits. If you like, you can roll out your sleeping bag in the adjacent, very simple shelter. The creatures of the night don't get in there so easily :)

Log out of the digital world for a day, get away from everyday life, and become part of nature. Enjoy the peace and quiet and the sunrise over the forest. Let the day pass you by and listen to the voices of the night. Take a moment to look up at the starry sky and become part of this infinity.

If you like, you can stroll past blooming gardens to Steinbach, where there is a small village square with a beautiful Kneipp basin to cool off in and a playground. For those who want to be more active, there are hiking trails, mountain bike trails, and a bike park nearby.

Or visit the beautiful historic old town of Wertheim with its many cafes. There you can also visit the glass museum and the castle. You can paddle or cycle along the unspoiled Tauber River. The historic towns of Miltenberg and Würzburg are also well worth seeing.

Free cancellation up to 1 day (12:00 p.m.) before arrival.

Activities

  • Kayaking, canoeing

The unspoilt Tauber river is perfect for paddling. We really enjoyed

really enjoyed the trip from Gamburg to Bronnbach with our SUPs. The

current is low, weirs have to be bypassed because there are no locks.

none. The completely overgrown banks make you feel like you're in the jungle at times.

jungle. You can also book complete tours or hire boats.

    hire boats.

  • Cycling

The Tauber Valley Cycle Route is one of the most famous scenic and cultural routes. The starting point is Wertheim, with its beautiful historic old town and the still imposing castle ruins of the Counts of Wertheim. From there, the route takes you through the "lovely Tauber Valley," past Bronnbach with its former Cistercian monastery, via Gamburg and on to Tauberbischofsheim. We really like the route from Wertheim to Gamburg.

  • Hiking

Whether it's the "Three Streams Trail" right on your doorstep, through the vineyards of the "Hohen Herrgott" in Külsheim, or the "Orchid Trail," there's no shortage of hiking opportunities here. Just make sure you don't get lost in the Schönert.

  • Watching wildlife

The fox and hare are there to say goodnight, of course. But we have also had deer, wild boar and a badger

a badger on our wildlife camera and at night you can hear the owl calling.

    owl calling.

  • Wine tasting

We are located directly in a wine region. Right

next door is Külsheim with its "Hohen Herrgott" and several wineries.

    wineries.
