Räuberhöhle offers seclusion and tranquillity in a shady spot. The surrounding area is completely overgrown and very few hikers stray onto the path that leads past the property. I guarantee that "fox and hare say good night" here.
It's a bit like bushcraft to spend the night here. The meadow was completely overgrown until recently, so it's not perfect yet (but I'm working on it). But if you want peace and quiet, you're in good hands here. It is located directly behind a natural privacy screen, making it difficult to see the tent. You are also welcome to hang your hammock between the trees.
The level pitch is approx. 1.60 m x 2.00 m wide and can accommodate a maximum of two people. Please note that there is no electricity or water and garbage must be taken away. A campfire is not permitted.
You are welcome to use the land next to it (with the small hut). There you will find a bench and a small table to rest.
There is a stream about 15 minutes from the property which is often used for splashing around. It also has some nice deep spots.
During your stay you can expect to see squirrels, birds, maybe a deer or hare etc..

Nice place, everything as described
The second night spent between two horse paddocks on the apple orchard meadow was also truly wonderful. It’s a complete contrast to the “bandit’s den,” but that’s totally fine. If you get scared in the woods, you can head to the apple orchard meadow—haha. So this spot is absolutely wonderful for people who might want to avoid the woods altogether right now. Stefan is still a very laid-back host. You book your spot with him, go there, spend the night, and head back home. Other than that, I had a really nice time there. I’ll definitely book with Stefan again.
Yeah, that was my very first night in the woods, all by myself. Okay, some hunters walked along the trail later, but they didn’t see me at all 😂 A squirrel said “hello” to me, and a hedgehog ran into my tent and then hopped around with me 😂😂. The name “Räuberhöhle” (Robber’s Cave) fits this place perfectly. Stefan is a very confident host. Everything is handled online. If you have any questions, he’s always quick to respond. I can definitely recommend this place. If you want to learn about self-sufficiency, spots like this are exactly what you need. And nature lovers, please take EVERYTHING with you when you leave (no matter what). That way, the next nature lover can enjoy it too 🥰
The spot was just as described, and the host was friendly and reliable. A very quiet and natural spot with privacy. The trees also shield it from the wind and weather.
