HeinrichThe pitch for self-sufficient campers is a meadow of over 2000 m² next to the forest away from our mill, easily accessible via a paved dirt road. There is a gravelled pitch. In summer, if it is dry enough, you can also choose a pitch on the meadow and even stand together with several camper friends.
Ideal location for nature lovers, good starting point for sightseeing tours in the surrounding area or as a stopover on a longer trip
Good infrastructure in the surrounding villages despite its secluded location
We look forward to your visit!
Free cancellation up to 1 day (12:00 p.m.) before arrival.
In the mountains
The north-east corner of the Taunus offers a small-scale, quite wooded and varied low mountain range landscape
In a meadow
Meadow with gravel parking area
At/in the forest
The meadow is next to the forest and gives the impression of a large clearing
Between trees
The entire meadow is surrounded by tall trees
By a river/stream
A small stream flows along one side. And the larger Wetzbach is not far away either.
With a shady place
There are sunny and shady areas to choose from on the meadow
Toilet
Dogs welcome
Great for dogs, as the pitch is separate. Please do not bring dogs directly to the mill, so that there are no jealousy scenes with our dogs.
Cats welcome
Whether dog or cat, there is enough space here
Electricity
Water
Barbecue allowed
Everything is allowed, just no campfires on the ground. And please keep your distance from the forest in dry weather. There is plenty of firewood in the forest.
Farm shop
We grow fruit as a hobby on a meadow orchard with many old varieties and offer handmade jams, jellies, juices, cider etc.
Golf
Two golf clubs nearby: Braunfels and Waldsolms
Hiking
Many opportunities for walks and hikes off the beaten track with beautiful views of the countryside.
MTB
20-30km tours on field and forest paths in a varied landscape, best with an e-bike because of the many hills.
Cycling
Many interesting destinations nearby, including Wetzlar, Braunfels and Weilburg
Watching wildlife
Here are home to some animals that are not found everywhere, including gray herons, black stork, eagle owl, kingfisher and, in summer, many swallows
Playing by the water
The small stream by the pitch is ideal for small children. And the Wetzbach, which is one size larger, is only 20m away from the pitch.
Kayaking, canoeing
Paddle and SUP tours on the Lahn
