The farm is located in the municipality of Mandelbachtal on a high plateau and is less than 10 km from the border with France and very close to the north-south highway. You leave the highway in Saarbrücken- Fechingen and reach your accommodation and recreation area after 12 minutes.
Excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity include the Gräfinthal Monastery with excellent gastronomy, the Haus Lochfeld Nature Landscape Center (on foot through the forest) and the Roman excavations in Reinheim. It is about 10 km to Saargemünd, 15 km to Saarbrücken, 14 km to the baroque town of Blieskastel, 23 km to the rose town of Zweibrücken, 30 km to the Völklingen Ironworks World Heritage Site, about 40 km to the Saar Loop and about 35 km to the Gondwana Dinosaur Park.

And if you just want to rest and relax, you can stay on the farm, read, paint, relax in the beautiful courtyard garden, watch the animals, horses in the pasture, the kite in the sky, the falcons, woodpeckers, rabbits and so on.

Bernd wasn't there because he was sick, but he took care of everything perfectly. We were able to choose a spot across from the courtyard with a view of the horses. The restroom and shower were both spotless. It was really nice.

It was a great microadventure camping on the farm with the horses. Everything you need is there. A flat piece of meadow, clean toilet, and a sink... Bernd even brought us games to the tent because we had forgotten our card game, thanks again😊! The silence at night is wonderful. Until next time, wonderfully quiet at night.
