  Our night at the windmill was simply wonderful. The setting itself and the peace and quiet were really refreshing. When we arrived, we had a brief but very pleasant interaction with Falk and his family, who came all the way to the windmill just to welcome us. Breakfast on the terrace was a nice little highlight to round off our stay. We’d love to come back.

  Sometimes you find a place you’d really rather keep to yourself. This nature campground at the beautiful old mill near Liebstadt is exactly that kind of place! If you’re looking to slow down, find peace, and immerse yourself in nature, you’ll find your own personal paradise here. The lovingly maintained property offered plenty of options and enough space to set up our 4x4m teepee. We were able to enjoy nature in complete privacy. Our days began with a cup of coffee on the terrace. While doing so, we spotted deer, a fox, and numerous species of birds. After sunset, we could hear the tawny owl, and in the morning, a female woodpecker came to visit. The incredible starry sky in the evening, the crackling of the campfire, and the tranquility make this place truly special. Beautiful hiking trails lead straight from the campsite through the stunning natural surroundings. The area offers many options for day trips—whether hiking, visiting a mine, or taking city trips to Dresden or Prague. There’s plenty to discover here. Liebstadt itself is a wonderfully sleepy little town. Although the nearest supermarket is a few villages away, the 24/7 vending machine in town, stocked with regional products, spontaneously saved our barbecue evening. The supermarket is also easily accessible by car in just a few minutes. There’s also “Die Kleene Bude”—a kiosk that has Sunday rolls ready on the weekends ;) Falk deserves special praise. It’s rare to find a host who is so warm, friendly, helpful, and always available. After our minor car accident, he was immediately there to offer advice and assistance. His dedication and kindness made our stay even more unforgettable. He definitely deserves an extra star for that! :) So if you’re looking to experience nature, peace, freedom, and genuine hospitality, you should definitely visit this place.   An extraordinary place, very unique. It had everything we needed; thank you for that. The evenings by the campfire were wonderful. Getting there with our fairly tall and wide vehicle is a bit of a challenge, but doable. The fairly high price is reasonable. We’d love to come back.
