Camping in the Wetterau lake district

"When I see the lake - I don't need the sea anymore..."

In the middle of the "Wetterau Lake District", your camping site awaits you on almost 600 square meters of recreational land on the outskirts of Trais-Horloff (district of Hungen).

Immediately adjacent: "Oberer Knappensee" and next door the very beautiful bathing lake (Trais-Horloff/Inheiden). You have plenty of space on the meadow and the following is at your disposal: A (lockable) hut to store your things (unfortunately not for overnight stays), tables and chairs + parasol, earth refrigerator and dry toilet. A stone barbecue and a campfire site as well as small items such as folding chairs to take to the lake etc. are waiting for you.

We stock fresh water (canisters) on request.

We are happy to fulfill your individual wishes (e.g. provision of drinks / barbecue package / breakfast / tent). Just contact us!

If you are staying a few days longer, we will be happy to arrange excursions for you (e.g. special experiences with animals: Goat picnic or pony hike etc.). Cycling and hiking are really wonderful here at the foot of the Vogelsberg. There are many great leisure activities.

Cars can be parked "around the corner"; there is also a small store "for everything" with baked goods and a post office. A cozy restaurant with a beer garden is within walking distance. There are numerous restaurants and stores (including pharmacies) in the immediate vicinity.

If you are looking for a quiet place in the countryside and still appreciate "civilization" within easy reach (e.g. by bike), then you are absolutely right in the "Seensucht".

Dogs are always welcome!

However, the property is not absolutely "dog-proof", so please make sure that your furry friends cannot leave the property unattended.

The directly adjacent nature reserve also requires dogs to be kept on a lead.

Note on the bathing lake: unfortunately dogs are not allowed on the sunbathing lawns or in the lake.

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate larger groups and "party guests".
