Camping on the orchard near Lake Kummerow

Idyllic campsites in the orchard meadow. The meadow is located behind our vegetable garden, so it offers plenty of privacy thanks to the distance from our home. The orchard is large enough for several guests to camp while maintaining social distancing. Adjacent to our garden is a small outdoor bathroom with an outhouse and shower, which is available for use. There is also a small kitchen hut with a work table that can be used for cooking. We provide a small refrigerator, a two-burner gas stove, and electricity for an additional fee of 5 euros per night. Weather permitting, you can build a fire at our campfire site, where there is also a table with chairs for dining and water for extinguishing the fire.

Those arriving by car can park at the house (approx. 100 meters from the tent field); bicycles can be taken to the tent or stored in a shed. Unfortunately, cars with roof tents cannot drive onto the orchard; the parking spot for them is closer to the road, surrounded by trees and berry bushes, and also at a distance from our living area.

The adjacent farmland is occasionally grazed by cows, and there are also runner ducks living on the property. The fruit from the orchard, the juice pressed from it, and the vegetables from our garden are available for a small donation.

The property is located in the center of Sommersdorf; Lake Kummerow is easily accessible on foot or by bike (approx. 1 km). The surrounding area is perfect for cycling, hiking, and paddling. The nearest shopping option is a small village store (with a restaurant) in the neighboring village (approx. 4 km); the nearest town with a supermarket, pharmacy, train station (RB 4), and other amenities is Reuterstadt Stavenhagen (approx. 12 km); another train station (RE 5) is located in Demmin (approx. 15 km).
