Welcome to the sunny side of the Kreuzberg - surrounded by mountain meadows and forests, Camping Waldberg is located in the nature park "Bavarian Rhön" and "UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön".
Here you can still meet original Rhön nature, campers will find peace, relaxation and recreation in the uniquely beautiful and "rough" Rhön.
Our campsite is located near Waldberg, one of the 5 Rhön forest villages, it offers in summer and winter numerous sports opportunities in the surrounding mountains. Varied hiking trails, mountain bike routes, groomed cross-country ski trails and winter hiking trails."

A great spot with potential, but unfortunately there’s grass clippings and organic waste lying around everywhere; there’s no night lighting on the paths, and there’s no clear demarcation between the path and the campsites. The restrooms are old, but they have everything you need and are spacious. The sites are really large, the location is great with lots of trees and nature, and the service is excellent—with a bread roll delivery service for the morning and a store that really has everything, absolutely everything. The lake next door is breathtakingly beautiful, and the beer garden is a great place to relax. The hosts are very friendly and totally laid-back.

We really enjoyed it
A lovely little square surrounded by greenery. You can also enjoy a great meal at the small restaurant that’s part of the square.
A very nice campsite and starting point for great hikes!
Beautiful campsite in a really great location. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to the weather, but it definitely won't be the last time we've been there!
