A well-maintained spot & a friendly host! The campsite is nice and firm and level, and you’re completely on your own here. The sun deck above offers a great view. Thanks to the location link I received in advance, it was easy to find everything. The campsite is on one side of the road, and the dry toilet, fire pit, stream, etc., are right across the street on the other side (which has very little traffic). The stream area (truly lovingly landscaped) is also rented out to tent campers—so you might have to share this area if other guests are there. We were lucky and enjoyed exclusive peace and quiet. 🐶🚐⛰️🌲
A wonderful little spot that Kay has created here. I set up my roof tent at the “quarry.” The site is very clean; the highlight is the “sunset bench” on the upper side, accessible via a short path. The campsite by the stream is also an oasis of comfort. Good to know: The ground is naturally very rocky, so it’s not suitable for small tents under a tarp or similar, but you can secure them to trees with long paracord if needed. At dusk, there were lots of tiny “mosquitoes”—whatever they were—but all in all, it’s a wonderful spot that’s been lovingly prepared. Thanks for that!
A very beautiful place, in a wonderful location. A great starting point for bike rides through the stunning countryside. Communication was very straightforward; everything was exactly as described. And the book about the plants of the Ore Mountains, which we were allowed to take with us, is extremely interesting and beautifully put together. Thank you very much! We’d love to come back!
It was a really lovely spot by a small rock face. The little campsite right by the stream was very nice and had been set up with great care. The kids were also able to play by the stream.
