Camping on a farm with animals and a river

There is a lot to experience and "learn" on our farm. We have lots of chickens that can be fed, but also lots of tame quails that you can pet and feed in our presence. You can also expect a visit from two very cuddly farm cats who want to be stroked by you. There is plenty of entertainment for children, such as a ground-level trampoline, a climbing frame, a swing set, a slide, a table tennis table, a campfire site and the "Walderlebnispfab" (not a spelling mistake, but a play on words). If conditions permit, campfire wood can be purchased for a small fee and you are welcome to use the new stainless steel swivel barbecue (since 2024). Depending on availability, there are also mountain go-karts (various sizes) including a two-seater trailer. The official village playground, which was only inaugurated in spring 2023, is about 450m away.

The cherry tree is the perfect place to sit on hot days or play on the hanging games. You are welcome to use the tables and chairs provided. If the weather is not what you would like it to be, the hut offers a 30 square meter retreat. In there you will also find an oven, microwave and hotplates for free use. If you want, you can also see for yourself what eggs from happy chickens and quails taste like. You can get these as well as snacks and drinks (including regional beer) in and around the fridge in the hut.

The beautiful and peaceful village of Schabringen am Silbersee is located on the southern edge of the Swabian Alb and is part of the municipality of Wittislingen in the district of Dillingen an der Donau. Geographically, Schabringen is perfectly located between the major cities of Stuttgart, Munich, Augsburg, Ulm and Nuremberg. The nearest highway connections Zusmarshausen (A8), Günzburg or Giengen Brenz (A7) are only 20-25 km away and Legoland Germany can be reached in 30 minutes by car.

Our farm offers enough space for various recreational vehicles, but please send us a message with the reservation stating the type of vehicle and, in the case of motorhomes/caravans, the length, so that we can ensure a suitable space.

The price quoted is for up to 5 people, each additional person costs €5 per night. Please send us a message with your booking if more than 5 people are coming.

Electricity can be purchased for 2€ per night. We can also provide fresh water, as well as a washing area with well water. In 2023 we have also built a toilet incl. washing facilities for our guests (accessible 24h).

Arrival is between 13h and 21h and departure until 12h. Should it be later than 9pm, please let us know, this is usually possible. A late departure until 6 p.m. is optionally possible after consultation and availability. On arrival you will also receive an information sheet with all the information you need, including recommendations for excursions.

The Steidle farm store, which also operates a 24/7 sales container, is approx. 1 km away, so that your physical well-being is always taken care of. Supermarkets are approx. 2km away.

If you like it a little more adventurous, you can paddle into the Egau for refreshment or hire a canoe at the property's own entry point. The Donau-Härtsfeld cycle path runs directly in front of the property and there is a very popular resting point on the Egau with a natural Kneipp facility.

And if you fancy something even bigger, you can also visit the Silbersee lake, which is approx. 1 km away.

Other excursion destinations in the immediate vicinity apart from the Legoland mentioned with small children are the Steiff Museum in Giengen (approx. 20km), the highest church tower in the world in Ulm (approx. 60km), to name just a few...more on the information sheet on arrival.

We have excellent mobile phone reception: Telekom and Vodafone up to 200Mbit/s and O2 also over 20Mbit/s.

We are passionate campers ourselves and therefore know what our vacationers imagine as a perfect place and will do our best to make your stay unforgettable.

We can also accommodate dogs ("walkway" directly behind the house possible), but there is a leash requirement because of the farm cats. In addition, there are often some chickens running around freely. Thank you for your understanding.
