TimYou can expect a beautiful orchard meadow (with still very small trees) directly at our millrace. The site is shaded by trees. The ground is flat and therefore ideal for camping.
There is a great view of mountains and of the Wehre valley. The Wehre is the stream that powers our mill. It rises on the Hohe Meißner, the mountain over 800 meters high that gives our county its name: Werra- Meißner district.
Barbecue facilities and a fireplace are available. Here you can enjoy the evening sun with beautiful sunsets and listen to the quiet ripple of the stream.
The meadow is located at the edge of the village of Oetmannshausen. There are beautiful trails for hiking and biking.
The district town of Eschwege is about 15 minutes away by car. To Eisenach or Kassel you need about half an hour.
We live with two dogs and a cat in the old water mill. So we can support you if you need something.
WC and shower we offer in our household, especially for you campers with tent.
If you need more than one place, please contact me.
