The private mini campsite with 3 pitches is located near the historic brickworks (a tour is possible) in Nenndorf. Here you can relax in the shade or use the time for all kinds of activities. Cycle paths directly at the site
Holtriem is the "green pearl" on the North Sea and is very centrally located in the "hinterland" of the East Frisian peninsula. The Wadden Sea National Park is about 20 minutes away by car or 45 minutes by bike. The towns of Aurich, Esens and Norden are almost equidistant. The approximately 48 km long Holtriem hiking trail leads through the scenic landscapes of Holtriem and is very suitable for cycling and hiking.
The nearby Ewiges Meer nature reserve is also well worth a visit for nature lovers.
Shopping facilities can be reached by car within 10 minutes.
Sanitary facilities such as toilets and washbasins are located in the house and their use is included in the basic price. The shower/bath can be used as required for a small fee.
Permanent roommates are 6 camera sheep and a cat.
Therefore, dogs only by prior arrangement.
Barbecues and campfires are possible by prior arrangement, depending on the weather (fire risk, small distance to trees).

Camping with private people is very different from camping on a large campsite. On the one hand, the contact is much more personal: imagine you are camping at a friend's site, on the other hand, you have much more privacy at the same time.As on other sites, you should also be careful with the offered space when camping on private property. For example, don't leave trash behind when you leave and respect the rules set by your hosts.

So that was our third visit to the Green Pearl. I agree with our previous reviews, and I’d like to add that my little girl enjoyed it too and is already asking to go back. And sorry there wasn’t any homemade cake this time—we were so relaxed that we just didn’t get around to it 🫣... Best regards
Arno's campsite is surrounded by nature and very quiet. Communication leading up to our stay was prompt. Arno stopped by every day to check in on us. I would have liked the toilet—and especially the toilet bucket—to be cleaned daily. Unfortunately, the site was overbooked when I arrived. Instead of the 3 spots described, I was the 5th group to arrive, and there was barely any room left for my car with a rear tent, even though I had asked in advance if it would fit and was told there would be 2 (!) other campers. Fortunately, all the other guests were very nice, and we made the best of it. On Saturday, two more people arrived in a van and were allowed to spend the night in front of the gate. For those camping in tents, please note that the wooden cabin, which is presumably also intended as a shelter, has seen better days. So the location is great, but the description of the site isn’t entirely clear.
We had a wonderful time staying with Arno. You can hear lots of birds chirping here, and every now and then you see sheep grazing in the pasture; the bathroom is very well-maintained. We highly recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t want to be crammed shoulder-to-shoulder at overcrowded campgrounds and who loves nature. Dornumersiel, Bensersiel, and Aurich are all easily accessible by bike from here. Arno, thank you so much! We’ll be in touch again!
A very quiet spot, a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, lots of birds, Cameroon sheep, Arno’s cat is always looking for company, easy check-in and check-out, fresh eggs right next door, great bike paths
