Lake Deulowitz is the region's most popular recreational area on the Oder-Neisse cycle path and mining tour in a scenic setting. The people of Guben also call it their "Guben bathtub". The natural lake has a fine sandy bathing beach and the best water quality in the vicinity. The water quality is rated highest with three stars! The Republic of Poland, the Lusatian Lakeland, the open-cast mine Jänschwalde, the Spreewald, the Schlaubetal and Poland are right on our doorstep and can be easily reached by foot, by bike or by horse-drawn carriage. Experience this area between nature reserves and active open-cast mining.
Note: it is a fine, small campsite with plenty of space in the protected area for nature and landscape.

A big heart and a big property! Thank you for the wonderful time we had with you—so much space and peace and quiet!
Steffen and Claudia are great—very friendly and always happy to take the time for a quick chat. The food at Ostufer is also delicious, but it’s only open on weekends. However, at certain times they serve a small snack menu where you can get delicious bockwurst made from their own cattle—highly recommended. The three of us stayed there for a week in our camper and will definitely be back. Next time, we’ll just bring our bikes. Even though it was summer vacation during our stay, it was empty. They make sure the campground isn’t overcrowded, and we love that. The restroom facilities are perfectly fine, too—if only everyone would make sure to leave them clean. But that’s entirely up to the visitors—unfortunately. The surroundings are quiet as well. Sometimes you can hear the train or the road, but we didn’t find it bothersome. Until next time
