Summer mood - fruit meadow on the edge of the star park

Sommerlaune is a former 3,000-square-meter orchard that I’m currently bringing back to life. It’s large and largely untouched, with a beautiful shaded spot under a majestic oak tree. One remarkable feature is the breathtaking view of the starry sky. Thanks to its location on the edge of the Westhavelland Star Park, it’s particularly dark here, so you can admire the Milky Way and count shooting stars as you fall asleep. On the large meadow, there’s an area reserved for a construction trailer, fire pit, patio, stove, and drinking water canisters—please avoid this area. Otherwise, you’re welcome to park anywhere on the meadow you like.

The neighborhood is quiet, with a few grazing dairy cows in the pastures across the way. Transportation access is excellent, as the train station is only about 3 minutes away. The nearby town of Nennhausen boasts a beautiful castle and an idyllic castle pond. The surrounding villages also feature wonderful swimming lakes. Another highlight is the great bustard, which feels particularly at home here. If you’re lucky, you can spot these impressive birds while taking a walk along the meadows. The nature reserves are also home to many rare bird species, and there are great observation towers nearby. In the evening, if you’re lucky, you might even get to see fireflies.
